I LOVE the classic music!! I have to say, though, that Johto (8-bit and most remixed, not all) music is my absolute favorite. The original music is a very close second, though. I absolutely HATE the FR/LG remixed music (except for SS Anne). It just sounds AWFUL!

Hoenn and Sinnoh were both okay, but Sinnoh was better (musicwise).

No. Blue and Green Came out. Red was a special release with better sprites, only obtained by mail order, and Green was in Japan with Blue. Blue in the USA is like Red version. Yellow serves as Crystal/Emerald/Platinum

RBY were good games, but not the best. The reason why people love them's because they're classics.

GSC is good, one of the reasons people like this is because of it having two regions.

RSE got bashed a lot, but are still amazing games with underwater exploration and other exciting stuff.

DPP were awesome, better than at least RSE in my opinion. I like being able to choose from so many Pokémon now.

HGSS are gonna be the best ever with all the new features. I really cant wait for that game!

Agreed on everything. Gold/Silver/Crystal is considered (at least most all of my friends consider them) the highlight of the pokemon franchise so far. To see them in all their glory with the new features, updated graphics and wi-fi will be like a great big glass of nostalgia.

Actually, that's not a valid reason at all. The Wii doesn't have a cartridge port, so it can't play N64 and earlier except through virtual console. However, there is a perfectly functional cartridge port on the DS, and the same style that was used in the GBA. So why does one reader take GB through GBA and one only takes GBA?

Atleast you didn't have to Fire Spin the entire battle. I still remember getting past Lance barely and then realizing that I would have to deal with Blue. I rushed through the game and had to go through the last battle with only my starter at half health. So you could expect the expression on my face when he threw out Blastoise.

Exactly! I HATED the 'Spam Trumpet' theme the Advance Generation games had. It ruined a lot of classic tunes and left me in fear for Heart Gold and Soul Silver's music. This brings back my memory. I remember myself sitting there with my " Game Boy Color " and " Blue version ". When I heard this theme the first time I thought: " Oh my god ... this is going to be epic ... "

And I was right.

This theme is still today pure epicness at it's best.
