  • Why don't most of Pamela's claims on Led Zep and Jimmy Page match in the real tour dates?LZ didn't have any gigs in LA on April 1970,but Pamela writes in her book (I'm with the band) she had met Jimmy and Robert in LA on April 13 and 14,although they were in Canada at that time. Also in 1969,she claimed she saw Elvis with Jimmy and Robert on August in Vegas ,but LZ wives joined the band then and they saw Elvis together! Why does Pamela tell such lies???

  • C.Plaster Caster) was also behind the "Jimi Hendrix Sex Tape" which was nothing but a gigantic scam. Pamela was co-narrator. A big shameless money-grab. Zero credibility. What on earth percentage of her books are TRUE?

  • According to Led Zep book,Pamela was only one of many Zeppelin groupies like others.I think this woman exaggerates too much about many thing her books or in interviews. She claims she was a girlfriend of Jimmy Page everywhere, but she never lived with him and she was never even a part of his life(Bebe Buell and Lori Maddox are the quite same too!).Most musicians have their true partners in their homes,so these old ex-groupies should be more humble.

  • I think I'd rather be remembered for creating & performing music that gave joy to others rather than as someone who sucked cocks backstage.

The fact that these women's exploits apparently fascinate people is due to the West's deeply conservative view of sex. If sex wasn't considered a taboo subject, then no one would be interested in reading about it.

Groupies are a product of permissiveness...permissiveness is a by product of social conservatism. They had sex with men...big fucking deal.

  • Teenage grandma!~

  • Love how in the VH1 Doc, Pamela states that bands loved having her around because she understood their "creative process." what Bullsh*t! They just wanted someone with so little self-esteem that they would serve as the band's cum receptacle, and Pamela, Skank that she was/is, was happy and stupid enough to oblige.

  • @KoenHead

I think groupies just couldn't realise how little musicians actually cared about them. It's strange really.

  • @KoenHead Wow, you don't have a clue about the musician/groupie relationship.........its much deeper than that and mutual, both getting their needs met .

  • @littlequeen64 Is it, really?? The only 'deep' thing going on is some drug-addled musician, in a moment of piss-poor judgment, deciding to go balls-deep inside some 'receptacle,' who is naive enough to think they are part of the band. That's ALL a groupie is to these guys. Ya know how I know that?? Because I'm a GUY!

  • @KoenHead No,you are wrong. And if you are a GUY and have never been a female groupie than you can't relate.I'm talking from the groupie perspective. It is not ALL about the sex.Its a love of rock and roll and wanting to get near it.The experience of it all......A real groupie USES the musicians as much as they use her.She has power of her own.......and an agenda.

  • @littlequeen64 Look, if YOU were a groupie it's OK. The world will always need whores. Especially ones who delude themselves into thinking they are part of some 'creative process." Again, I'm a guy and if you think that a groupie uses a musician as much as the musician uses (and discards) them, then all that Metal drummer semen has wrecked your logical thought. I know better, but keep deluding yourself. Anyone with a working brain sees groupies for what they TRULY are, and it ain't pretty...

  • @KoenHead Why were you looking at vids about groupies to start with??Something must have peaked your curiosity.......I think if you research about groupies a little you would understand that its a passion, and it won't stop just because you don't agree.Oh,and the use of the word whore, thats so elementary, really, women like sex too (alot), dear. Our vaginas were'nt just created to pump out babies..........Do you like women?

  • @littlequeen64 I love women, but when they will give it up for any drug addict with a guitar, well, I lose a lot of respect for THOSE women. I dig Rock & Roll from all eras, but the proliferation of the groupie element into Rock was just a sad side story in the history of the Art form. The bands get older, they discard ANY groupie over, say, 21, and then the groupies try and convince us that they somehow had a hand in a band's success. Pathetic, and entirely untrue.

  • @KoenHead Well i never "gave it up" to anyone.I am in charge of my body.I slept with who i choose. You are not getting it.A groupie IS NOT owned by a rock band,so they can't be discarded. As i said sex is only part of it.It is also about being around fame and the love of R&R and the atmosphere. If i had sex,its because i wanted to.And we are talking about another time in history, before aids.No one has said that they were a benefit to a band or musicians success. Not Pamela OR the other ladies......

  • @littlequeen64 "i never "gave it up" to anyone.I am in charge of my body." Yeah, just keep tellin' yourself that. All those STDs you caught from some roadie for Rod Stewart, or whomever, will always be there to remind you otherwise. Nice chattin' with you, though. Hope it was all worth it, but I'll guess the severity of which you were USED is immense. That's kinda sad. Oh well, Asta La Vista, Senorita Rockslut!

  • @KoenHead You have issues with women obviously,i would recommend a therapist.........

  • @littlequeen64 Yeah....well I'd recommend penicillin for you, toots. There.....NOW we're through.......

  • I'm reading this book these days ..so far very entertaining.

  • I love Miss Pamela and her books, I've finally read all of them and I'm deffinetly going to read them all over again haha great stuff!

  • Hey Cat--don't do the crime if you can't do the time dude.

  • uber whore

  • Well kidz i think YOU care otherwise you wouldnt have bothered watching this vid! And yes shes right. Groupies are as much a part of rock history as the songs and the musicians. Fact. The rock stars themselves made this happen.

  • I adore Miss Pamela. She's smart, fun, and has a great sense of humor.

  • IS THAT lady d'arbenville

  • "if you don't wanna be in my life story then don't put yer dick in it." Lmfao I love it. <3

  • @xXxRav3rRawrBabyxXx well well new fav. quote

  • Im sooooo envious of those three!

  • Miss Pamela is so down to earth person. And she seems to be smarter and cool than her "colleagues". But of course she was older than Lori Maddox or Sable Starr for example and had experienced a lot of things. Also she was so beautiful when she was young and doesn't look bad now either. Pamela is my favourite groupie of all time!

  • I dont think she is glorifying the groupie lifestyle; she mocks herself as she tells the tale. She explains how she got into fetishizing men at an early age in a really truthful way I think and the humour just comes naturally from that. Shes a great storyteller.

  • dude. show miss p respect you all have NO idea what role groupies played in the music scene of the 60's and 70's; you have NO idea

  • SIMILAR to artists. how many famous paintings were created

    this way. models=groupies?

  • Yeah, many of groupies were models (not everybody, but many). People have that kind of image in their mind that groupies were somekind of trashy whores and junkies. But what kind of rock star is interested by whore-looking junkie? Models were elegant and sophisticated and celebrities knew that. But of course many of models started using drugs.

  • I'm pretty sure Yusef Islam isn't overjoyed to have a former girlfriend blabbering about a time in his life that's far in the distant past. As for all these groupies yammering about love affairs that are decades in the past...well, who gives a rat's ass? Besides, it shows a total lack of class to kiss (and give blowjobs) and tell.

  • I do sort of agree with you here, but he was Cat Stevens then. He openly admits in many of his recent interviews as Yusuf Islam that he was a bad boy...that he did drink, smoke, do drugs and yes had sexual exploits. It is no shame to him now for the things he did as Cat Stevens, long, long ago.

  • Considering how devout he is now, he probably would feel embarrassment at having his dirty linen aired in public by a former girlfriend. I think he'd probably like to forget things he did in that past that he probably feels shame about now. And I don't think he'd want his wife and daughters to hear some bimbo bragging about their sexual adventures. Did Patti D'Arbanville ever consider how her blabbing about her affair with him would make THEM feel?

  • how is going out getting exactly what you want and not feeling sorry for yourself hurting the cause for women? as far as im concerned we are all equals and if men can do it without being labeled then so can women...duh!!and i believe anyone, especially another woman, who thinks any different is either stuck in the '50s or they're just too uptight for their own good...

  • How is being a slut liberating and furthering equal rights for women?

  • Its not at all. But it IS still a real story that shouldnt be shushed up just because some people might be offended by it. Using the term SLUT doesnt do much to further the rights of women either, you know.

  • Miss Pamela is my hero, and not because she fucked rockstars, but because she is a truly inspirational woman who chased her dreams and lived to tell the fabulous tale. She is an incredible writer, and person in general, and I would love to meet her an tell her how truly great she is. GO PAMELA!!! (And other woman who express themselves freely and pioneer the way for other women)

  • Actually, her dream was to be an actress and she never achieved any success at that. She also aspired to be the wife of Jimmy Page. She didn't achieve that, either.

  • whats your aspiration? What is your background? What have you done? You must have something interesting to say?

  • I always have something interesting to say; that's why I get so many responses on YouTube. You obviously find me facinating.

  • You find dying old animals facinating? Boy, what a sick motherfucker you are. But then that goes without saying.

  • You go girls, I wish I had the same idea!

  • welllllll.........do tell Stockhausen

  • Pamela Des Barres? I banged her up against Frank Zappa's kitchen sink.

  • really, so who cares? you're a coward for not even identifying yourself-she is not

  • Where would rock-n-roll be without the groupies? They give the musicians admiration, inspiration, and of course an ejaculation which leads to axaltation, more inspiration and another great song. One hand helps the other. Peace.

  • Makingsense23``LMAOL the best statement ive ever come across bout groupies and their influence in Rock n' Roll! They deserve their proper credit x`)FUKIN BRILLIANT X)

  • I bet she'd let me be in her lifestory. She wouldn't mind, as long as I'm famous. *G* rolls eyes...

  • What these ladies do not see is that this hurts the cause for women more than helps it. It might advance their own personal agendas as individuals, but women at large? Nah.

  • What are your qualifications for speaking about the cause of women? Are you a female, Danny? If not...say no more. If so, then you still don't speak for anyone in this video, or me.

Whatever. Everyone is entitled to cling to their narrow margins for their "women" to stay in, I suppose.

  • how many rock stars married women who somehow had attractions to

"groups"....many-----and don't even try coming down on me, I am a musician and a woman, and if I met a musician I clicked with, my objective would not be crude sex, but to be in a musical environment, and who wouldn't like to be with a high profile artist you ?

  • I agree with you. All groupies can offer in the way of achieving something in life is to say "I fucked (fill in the blank)." Groupies revel in being USED as sperm receptacles by rock stars. And contrary to what they believe, rock stars do NOT worship groupies and are not "inspired" by them. They're diversions, that's all. There are a few songs about groupies, though. The best one is probably "What's Your Name" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It depicts the rock star/groupie relationship PERFECTLY.

  • I agree with you to a point. However, Cat Stevens was inspired by Patti D'arbanville. He wrote at least three songs either about her or for her. Maybe You're Right, Wild World, and Lady D'arbanville. She should show more humility and appreciation though. She would be just another untalented, forgotten model and actress if not for the songs "he" wrote because of her. He made her famous, not the other way around.

  • @katydidscorner I disagree with you. In fact, after I type this msg, I am going to doing a google search because while I have heard the name, I have NO CLUE who is Cat Stevens! Patti D'arbanville though? I first became aware of her when she had a contract role on my favorite soap, Guiding Light. Later, I saw her in The Sopranos. I have also enjoyed her work in several indie films. Again, who is Cat Stevens?

  • @iamcasihart Gosh, that comment was 2 years ago and I had forgotten all about it. Who's Cat Stevens? Hmmmm, well, he's a very famous singer/songwriter and the reason Patti is in this book. A search of Cat Stevens on Google gives up about 4 millions hits and probably quite a large number here on youtube. One of songs he wrote about her, Lady D'arbanville, is his first hit that propelled his career in U.S.. I'm not familiar with her acting career except for Modern Problems with Chevy Chase.

  • How does it hurt the cause for women?

  • she doesn't hide this, nor does she argue that something lacking may be the cause of this

However she was a performance artist, who are or were you???

  • Amen girl!! :]

  • true.. ; )

  • Classic moments in rock part 7: "if you don't wanna be in my life story then don't put your dick in it". You go girl! ;-D
