The riff used in this song isn't from the original Smokestack Lightning; it's taken almost note for note from the live version of Led Zeppelin's The Lemon Song (not sure if that's where it originally came from or not).
Still a very good cover, though.

Actually howlin wolf did a couple versions of this song, of of them sounding pretty much identical to that main riff that they are playing.
He pretty much did a slow tempo version and then a faster one.
I prefer the faster.
