This is a poem by Watchman Nee adapted from St. Francis of Assisi. The melody was composed by Mimi Lam in 1970's. The hymn was put on cassette in 1980 by a group of Christian musicians in Taiwan. As far as I know, cassette (in Chinese) is the only format available. This uploaded version sounds very good. Thank you!
Can you imagine the lost that would be won, the peace we would gain, the glory we would see were we to espouse this truth. Thanks to JoeXcel for sending me this link. Does anyone know where this can be found in english?
Bro Nee is the right person to sing this

I find this hymn very moving~
The tune alone pleads us to live in this manner, and when we really read the meaning of the words, oh how much we see!
"Let me learn, O Lord, You are my reward, Let me be others' blessing all my days."
May this be our living!
Praise the Lord saints!

Let me love and not be respected; Let me serve and not be rewarded;
Let me labor and not be remembered; Let me suffer and not be regarded.
'Tis the pouring, not the drinking; 'Tis the breaking, not the keeping
A life suff'ring to seek other's blessing. A life loving and true comfort giving.
Not accepting pity and concern. Not accepting, solace and applause;
Even lonely, even forgotten, Even wordless, even forsaken.......
God bless you!
