This advert has been banned by the Advertising Standards Association of Ireland.

The ISPCC (and its sister organisation the NSPCC) have a history of demonising men and failing to show abuse by females even though females actually commit even more child abuse than men.

it's not so much this one advert that's sexist, but every ISPCC advert taken as a whole, and this was just the final straw I suppose and the authorities finally took notice.

There is as much violence from women that needs to be highlighted. One that I approached became very aggressive calling me a bully saying all men were bullies. The ad doesn't have to show whether it's male or female just that there is domestic torture

Often I intervene but I was on one occasion by a lady manager asked to refrain as she didn't want to upset her customer but yet she a mother herself felt it ok to let this woman away with hitting her child. A man would not be excused in the same way. The ad could be done in a way that it could be either parent committing the abuse.
