i have just got the same laptop, i am upgrading from a compaq presairo c500 its good for internet but once i started goin to programs like itunes skype ect, it got got ooo slow it its windows vista, soo i am excited for the hp dv6 15.7 inch somthin like that hope fully its alot more faster i paid extra to get a faster processser, good video by the way too :)

@randomrazr If you have the money for a MBP go for it.. Theres no reason getting a windows computer IF you CAN get a mac.. I like this computer, and it works great, but if i could replace it with a mac, i would :P

Question... I have the exact same computer and I scratched the "V" key while cleaning it today. You have to look REALLY hard to see the scratch but it bothers me anyway. What would you do? I have an old DV6 lying around but I don't want risk popping the key off. Last time I did that I broke the placeholder's tab.

Honestly, sounds like its going to be harder than just dealing with it.. I don't look at my keys, so i never notice :P. If it bothers you that bad, you may want to take it to a local repair shop. They should be able to fix it relatively cheap :)

Good news! HP is going to replace my "V" key. Of course I had to convince them it was from normal 'wear and tear' which was kind of hard considering my laptop is 3 weeks old. I have an HP dv7-3065dx.

aand im debating whetehr i should get a macbook or a hp laptop.

It all comes down to price for me.. It made more sense to me to spend less, and get more with this new laptop.. But if i had the choice, id prob get the MacBook.. I have to get on my Mac to edit videos.. Cant do it on the laptop.. But the laptop has more ram.. everything else meets my macs specs, almost. So it was definitely cheaper than the MacBook woiuld have been :P

ive heard parts used for hp laptops arent top notch or of great quality
