Don't quite feel the kick.. Usually live DnB drummers use a very small and highly tuned kick with a lot of sustain.

Besides, I'm sure he could play this exact thing on an acoustic kit, it just wouldn't have the ambient sound to it - but the basic structure would sound exactly the same. So I don't think anyone really gets what you were trying to prove here with that remark.
