  • Saw you in Cleveland at the Winchester , your playing brought me to the ground and I'm still stunned. You are truly an inspiration to me.

  • Your videos are brilliant mate, I hope you'll play Glasgow some time.

    Cheers, Gregor.

  • Lol! I love the part with the secret Suzuki :-D

Anyway, good work, man! Thanks a lot!

  • Dear dear J,

Please never say you can't teach. What you have contributed through vidoes like this is something which doesn't fit in words! You are the fire ! And you lit fire to every viewer in form of inspiration. You are superb! No one has ever contributed like you do. You are a precious gem and this precious gem made himself available through these videos for free!! Bravo !!!

  • Wow, Whay do I say to this other than thank you and a quote by way of Master Therion (sort of) "EVERY man and woman is a star"- (Liber Al Legis)

    Thank you again.

    J

  • Thank you so much J! You are always great.

    Hope to see you soon

  • Hey Jason! First of all i want to say that your a GREAT harmonica player and i like your instruction. I wanted your opinion of the Suzuki Promaster? I recently bought a Bb Promaster and i thought it was nice but i wanted to see what a pro thought about them, if anything. haha Thanks for your time and all your vids!

    KEEP ON HARPIN!

  • hi thanks a lot! the pro masters are great harps pat ramsey played them for a long time. i like all the suzuki's a lot but my favorite is the fire breath.

  • Hello ricci! Love you'r work man, i was woundering something what do you think about the Lee Oscar harmonicas? I bought one as my first harmonica. Just woundering how you feel about em or/and if you have any things i should think about while playing on. Thanks in forhand! peace mate!

  • That will be a FINE first harp and longer...as you get into more advanced techniques you'll want to later switch to a harp made with longer thinner reeds like a Hohner, Suzuki or better yet a Harrison when they come out summer 2009

  • i love jason ricci! he is my hero.

  • hours not years...hear ya bro.... thanks for for your passion!!¡¡Post if you are goin to be ANYWHERE in South America.I'll be there, i'm in Bolivia, nobody comes to Bolivia......

  • your honesty and help is invaluable.

  • guess not then... well i'll gladly travel from nc to va to see you guys april 16.

  • sorry! Sometimes dates pop at a month or so before their time....I'm usually the last to know actually...Poll star and my site have the most accurate listings. Thanks so so much and be sure to introduce your self at the gig!

    J

  • Jason,

When you coming to Japan? You would tear up the Tokyo Scene. I have been here two years and am really surprised how good some of the blues are over here. I jam once a month with some Japanese Musicians at one of the local pubs and it's a riot. Very Surreal but cool. Thanks for the great lessons Sensei.

  • Jason, are some of your tour dates not listed on the internet? Or is everything on your website? Either way, i'd love to see you & new blood in NC.

  • Its so easy...just focus your mind on the bottom bend/2hole and it will naturally happen took me like 2 minutes after some one told me that...Forget the top note just focus on the bending one.

  • thx a lot jason for the vid. i can't wait to get a chance to see you live.

  • Harp players are the "coolest" musicians. The willingness to share information is amazing. Thanks again Jason and to hell with the people who write stupid shit to you and Adam.

  • You should post a link to this on every one of your vids where some of those 'special people' keep making comments, lol...freeze frame on your gesture ;) lol this was too cool..great q&a, or, rather a without the actual queue ;)

  • Hahaha, we're waiting here in Chile, Jason

  • Hope you're working on coming downunder to OZ !

  • harp2swing and all you other overseas folks who'd love JR&New Blood to visit? Maybe try to get your harp clubs to do fund raisers to help pay their air-fare and/or set up a tour, and you'd be a lot closer to realizing your dream. Have you any idea how costly a trip to Oz would be for the Band? US Clubs/Bars, etc. don't pay, especially in the economy of the last few years. Get them invited! (Jason didn't endorse this, my idea only - I know what a struggle it is). If I could pay for it, I would.

  • "The best out of the box harmonica is the Suzuki _____" ? What'd he say? I couldn't make out that part.

  • Harpmaster ... I have a Suzuki Bluesmaster that is good as well and has the advantage of full length cover plates for better comfort ...

  • Yep Suzuki for now till the harrison harps come out this summer.

  • What's he going to be charging for those?

  • You're one of the few people who mention the fun of playing. There are people, myself included, who are never going to reach your level of mastership

but who can have a greart time trying.

Playing music is the best fun you can have with your clothes on.

  • Jason you have class, great vid. Thanks for your time.

  • Thank you and Thanks for your time.J

  • Awesome, Jason.

  • I heard the 2" and 5 octave at the end! I've been trying to do that forever. I quit and started working on Michalek's vibrato. Don't tell him though, it'll go to his head! Thanks for the great vids!!! Best of luck on the new album!!!

  • Its so easy...just focus your mind on the bottom bend/2hole and it will naturally happen took me like 2 minutes five years ago to get after some one told me that...Forget the top not just focus on the bending one.

  • Hi Jason,

Could you please tell me what the names of the instuctional DVD from Junior Wells and Rick Estrin you mentioned are.

    Thanks.

  • I got both of these from a google search of the name of each artist followed by the words "Instructional video" as follows: 1.) "Junior Wells Teaches (Mississippi Saxophone)" and: 2.) "Rick Estrin Reveals Secrets Subtleties & Tricks of the Blues Harmonica" .

  • GREAT Vid!!! I think Zack P. and I would like to see a show in Maine!!

  • Nice Dan Gage name drop! Where do I find Mr. Gage's greatest sayings?

  • ooh! I have a question... how can I be cool???

    .....you're pretty cool.

  • amen brother!! you've been such a help and inspiration!!! keep up the good work and the aiding of the masses! hope to see you soon!

  • Forget Somalia, get to Prague!!

  • A very good video, man. 5 stars.

  • Awesome, thank you J!

4-21 can't come soon enuff, WoooHooo!!

  • Thanks, Jason.

  • WOW. I see that you learned how to bend the octaves. You are the man.

  • I have a question. Why don't we ever talk anymore ? 8-(

Seriously, I was going to make a video like this. I will refer people to this video.

  • Thank you for taking the time. I agree with the hours not years. You get out of it what you put into it, and I`m sure I`m not alone when I say thank you. Can`t wait for the new CD. I`ve seen you twice in Florida and can`t wait for your return.
