The law in Zimbabwe is that 40% of all profits a company makes from within its borders must be spent on buying government bonds. So yes it is essentially bankrolling RM but it's not as if they are doing so out of choice. They choose to operate there, the regulations of that country mean that choice leads to giving the Zimbabwean gov money.

There is absolutely NO relationship between winnng awards from creative directors at Cannes and selling. There are many reasons for this, but the first is that you are not selliung to creative directors. You are selling to ordinary people. In the case of tis particular ad, why should the fact that an American movie star why knows nothing about banking and doesn't live in England wanders around the countryside with a bloody pig talking vague shit make anyone want to choose Barclays Bank?
