Wikipedia: Plastic Penny was a UK 1960s pop band, formed in Nov.'67 before splitting up in Aug. '68. Their existence was notable only for their one hit single, early in 1968, with the song Everything I Am, nr 6 in the UK Chart. It was a cover of a song originally recorded by the Box Tops, which first appeared as the b-side to the Box Top's 1967 minor hit single, Neon Rainbow, was written by Spooner Oldham and Dan Penn.
Plastic Penny had a European hit with this song, but the original was by the American group The Box Tops with lead singer Alex Chilton. It was the B-side of one of their first singles (not "The Letter", I think it was "Neon Rainbow"). I once ordered a coffee in a pub in Den Haag (The Hague) and was served by Peter Tetteroo! I guess he owned the place?
a great voice!

The name of the pub was maybe L Loyd Loon on the Herengracht 48 in The Hague. Peter Tetteroo was the owner of the pub in that time.
