This is apparently Justin Ring and His Orchestra, as several of his 1930-31 Perfect recordings were also issued under the "Majestic Dance Orchestra" pseudonym, and "Scrappy" Lambert was one of his regular vocalists. So, this was recorded on May 13, 1931, and originally issued on Perfect 15470.
Brilliant Mr. Big! Although now I'm torn between Scrappy's and Chick Bullock's versions. I'll have to keep playing both to find a winner. Oh but then there's The High Hatters too.... it's such a good number.
I've loved this song for over half my life. The version I first came into contact is the one bt Maurice Chevalier, but I like this tempo and arrangement better. 5 stars!
You may have heard it by another band, but this is the only Scrappy Version on Youtube.I was lucky to find a mint copy.Don't be surprised to see a new Moonlight Saving TAX soon.
It does not come any better than this

...and the "master" number- "10621"- is the same one on the Perfect issue. So it's definitely Ring's orchestra!

Moonlight Saving Time has a great beat! Oh, to go back in time (before I was born) and have lived in this era would be great!

That's true,I know that, you're talking about kids outside playing Kick the Can+Hide+Seek before they became television zombies.
