  • I speak all these languages, and I must say that the Italians are the best at dubbing, but the german version is not that bad.

  • The german Synchro is good.

But germans always want to see it in original englisch :(

    Thats crazy

  • I'm Spanish, but I hate it in Spanish. Actually, I hate it in every language that is not the original. I just find dubbed stuff so fake, the actor's voice is clearly the only one that sounds right. Besides the mouth and the sound don't go together and it drives me mad. Cool to hear all of them, though! Thanks for the vid!

  • @sandrodream1 GO CHIPS AND SUPERCAR (i.e. Knight Rider)! Ah, the memories...

  • @sandrodream1 I used to love MacGyver dubbed in Italian better than the original, lol

  • Kirk's eyes, wooo! The French version has a different line about "social occasions" being where "wars have started", whereas the original, and most of the other translations say "social occasions are warfare disguised" or something similar. Different meaning! But I like how they do try to make it look like those words are being pronounced - a virtually impossible task with English dubbing on Chinese movies!

  • I'd just like to point that Star Trek (the original series) was never dubbed in France. This was dubbed by french-speaking Canadians. Their accent is not very strong, but strong enough not to fool a frenchman (me). So you're listening to french, but not "french french". ;)

  • Such conversationalists, switching effortlessy from one language to another!

  • GERMAN = Smart, ITALIAN = Poetic, FRENCH = Homosexual, SPANISH = Very funny

  • @myblueandme couldn't agree more. That's why german is so good with spock

  • @myblueandme french - homosexual. LOL i agree

  • The spanish one made me laugh so much. They speak so fast and they barely move their lips. 2:24 I laughed so hard. They sound ridiculous in every other language than english. In Italian they sound super sensual and flirty.

  • TOS Deutsch klingt einfach cool.

    Italienisch klingt aber auch gut.

  • I live more the original version (english) Italian version is funny.

  • the French version makes it sound like they're a lot happier. I mean, the English one has a lot more subtext with an uneasy mood, but the French one is just too pretty to sound sly. haha. I actually speak French and I can understand, but it still sounds so... eloquent and pleasant, no matter the words. :) Spock's voice is a bit of a let down, but hey, there's not really a French Boston accent. haha

they just sound really, really angry in Spanish. ahha No disrespect, but they do.

  • @LeftyHandedGuns Hee, I love reading all these comments. I was in the Foreign Languages department in highschool, but subtleties like a "Boston accent" are new to me.

  • It's true! Bill shatner was born in Montreal, Quebec !!!!

You should read more about the bio of this awesome CANADIAN actor!!!!

  • I don't know if he speak french?

  • Bill shatner is Québécoise as well :)

  • Comment removed

  • Québécois lol ...Québécoise is a girl

  • I'm sorry! I don't speak french ;)

  • check out KIRK VS THE ROADRUNNER

  • I'm french and I can tell that the french version have a light french canadian accent. This mean that the job was made in Quebec . But it's not really the french canadian accent . They tempted an imitation of accent of France for french public , but the result is a kind of hybride accent . I remember that it was the same thing with other american productions (for ex Spiderman in cartoon an so on )

  • Oui, c'est vrai, Star trek a été traduit chez nous. En France, Star trek n'était pas connu avant les années 80 avec la venue des films. C'est pour cette raison que Star Trek n'a jamais eu des émules en France.

  • oh scheisse !!

  • Tolle Zusammenstellung, vielen Dank für die Arbeit. Thank you for putting this together for us. The voices are similar in each language.

  • I think german voices are best. Better than the original (this was a quite common at the time). But germans had to eliminate all hints towards Nazi history. So the "guest" says "We wanted to heal a sick world" instead of "we were offering the world order". Also common censorship after the war... Also, german Kirk is too quiet, too polite...

  • Agree...the German language sounds intellectual, I like watching these dubbed in German, eventhough I'm English......but Spanish is Romantic. The German Spock is perfect, the kissing scenes are best in Spanish....Sorry, I don't like Italian or French, except, French girls speaking English with a French accent is sexy!

  • @ConnaughtVaughan

    French girls have other qualities

  • @meisterslx I don't understand the problem with Nazi history - Kahn proves to be a negative character, albeit a very charismatic one - so isn't it ok to say it? Most negative characters on Star Trek are would-be gods who forget their humanity; so were the Nazis. And we already know that this show has an American bent, with the "final frontier" and so on. I hate it when someone decides to twist the meaning around, making an even greater mess than what they fear. Heck, even the Bible was censored.

  • The Spanish version is closest to the sensibility of the English version. Both versions make Khan into a latin dictator.

The French Kirk though is better.

  • italian sounds very insidious

  • I think the german dubbing voices are in general very good, despite not always hitting the pitch of the original voice. I think the french voices sound all bit identic

  • I'm a french native speaker. Believe me, the voice of Captain Kirk will follow me to my grave and I'll never mistake it for another.

  • If you'd hear the Hungarian version you couldn't stop laughing...

  • @neonknights yeah TOS Hungarian dub was horrible. They did it for TV3 years after they dubbed the movies which -- with the exception of TMP -- were

were good. Kirk got the voice of Gyula Szerseny and I bet Shatner would kill to have that amazing voice LOL

  • @neonknights Igen?

  • in french sounds gay

  • Well, that was fun!

    Do some more?

  • italian's dubbing is the best ever

  • Very, very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

OFFIZIER !!!!
