  • Say um uhh now we uhh umm

  • you can take apart the bumper and paint the buttons in the sides ;p

  • Is there much difference between the wired and wireless controllers for this?

  • hey dumbshit, word of advice for the future, carpets create static, and we all know static can short out electronics, so yeah, just find a desk. As a word of advice for what I'm guessing a novice electronics modder

  • someone likes halo way to much

  • how the heck do i take the circles out dude? its impossible... lol

  • What brand of paint do u use

  • its called a fucking pin jackass

  • how did u do that halo 3 on the battery pack?

  • y do u always so umm umm umm

  • GALO

  • y the fuck u so fucking skinny

  • Thank you so much for the idea of painting the battery pack! I am going to get to work. Nice vid.

  • What I found works with painting the sync button is every time you apply one coat of paint, let it dry then push the button in and out a few times before you apply another coat, and it SHOULD work just fine, unless you completely fill the gap with paint.

  • or ya just use a clearcoat

  • its fun taking apart and painting but damn I thought it was kinda hard to get back together in my opinion!

  • I don't think that painting the lb rb buttons part is going to damage that litle button, you are not painting any circuits

  • you did prteey good but, i still don't like it

  • first thing first you need to blow your nose..

and wow you can watch a video on youtube and then make your own

    your a fucking retard

  • just wondering, how wouldnt the battery pack or buttons not fit back in if u paint where there supposed to go?

  • fuckin halo nerd....

  • And you're a fucking idiot. Congratulations.

  • @HackedVision how

  • @HiddenInTheWalls How is he a halo nerd?

  • @HackedVision U srs? and you called me a fucking idiot......

  • I know what you were asking... And I felt the need to reply with a question so you could answer yourself along with the answer to my question.

  • 3:50

dats y u cover dat part dum ass

  • This kid has no idea what hes doing... dont be a chep ass and buy a TorK heads screw bit from Auto Zone or even a Hardware store so you dont have to strip the screws... and For all who are reading this comment I mod controllers for $30 us american dollars my Gamer Tag is; vI UNDEFINED Iv and the mods are only for the 360... pretty good deal theyre also rapid fire.

  • i know i sound stupid coz i don't know anything about this sort of thing but...

can you just cover up all the hold/button's and stuff and just spray paint it?

i guess not but i not sure and i don't wanna break my controller

    plz reply.

    thx good vid

  • i have the same problem too

  • You wouldn't want to just cover up the buttons, you'll get overspary on them and it'll look really hideous, plus you don't want to get any pain on to the thumbsticks it'll make them tacky on the cover.

  • @CF1791ROLFMAO im doing this right now, all you need is a hairpin. lo thats all im usin

  • go check out mine its a little more detailed

  • lol i know what you mean now you can panit it 3:53

  • i cant get the last screw out :/

  • btw you can panit it of you wont 3:48 but when ou sinc it you have to make sure you do not pull the pait off so use the meet on your finger not you nail

  • O_o?? That was a grammatical nightmare. I can hardly even guess what you were trying to say.

  • put painters tape over the sink button

  • i know about the 2 screws but they just wont come out i got the right size screwdriver but it just doesnt come out

  • you have to get a knife or a slow drill and make those 2 holes bigger soo it will fit.. you just carve around until you screw driver will fit.

    i had the same problem

  • dont use a screwdriver get a TT9 torx

  • i cant get my dpad out wot shud i do???

  • if you look at the back of the dpad there should be two screws and to clips unscrew them then push the clips inwards then pull at the same time on the side where you would play it and it should come off no bother hope it helps man

  • how do you take off the l and r triggers

  • 1 - You need to unscrew the two screws inside the back of the dpad, then get two small screw drivers and unplug the to plugs inside the dpad and pop it off.

2 - You don't need to mask the a, x, y, b holes, the triggers or the thumb sticks. Only if you are going to paint it more than once (re-prime, re-paint, re-clear coat it.

3 - Painting over the sync button is fine, once it has drive use a small, flat object to crack it open again and it works fine

  • thank you about taking the bar code off. that helped a lot

  • to cover holes you can also put straws through them (Only for like a x y b)

  • it sounds like he doesnt know what hes doing....

  • yup i had no clue what i was doing...check out my other video, the controller turned out so horrible that i must not have know what i was doing

  • sarcasm is fun XD

thnx for the video... i might actually try this

  • yup yup no problem

  • Thxx man..

  • u sound like mclovin

  • hahahaha ye he does;)..

what was the name of that movie??

  • haha

  • do you have to take it apart to paint it ?

  • i sharpied mine and didnt take it apart and then when i put clear coat on i put painters tape of senitive areas like back but i didnt take it apart but if u do sharpie make sure not too clear coat close at all cause i did with first on and it took off the sharpie and stuff

  • but it came out nice

  • Yeahh its easy man im 14 and the first on i dont is sick like green and red tiger striped and i just done silver and purpole its easyyy taking apart

  • Dude my grandma has those same screwdrivers and those are what I used to break the bit in the tamper proof screws! Aesome ha

  • how long after the second coat of paint do i wait until i put the clear coat on??

  • Can anybody help me what size screwdriver and what kind do you need for taking out the screws?

  • that halo3 thing on batterie pack is sweet

  • btw i hav a small flathead screwdriver u get out of crimbo crackers!

i thought it might be useful - but its not crimbo. btw what flathead do i need to open the controller

  • Nice, but you don't need to put tape over the trigger holes. The buttons don't touch the hole edges, so no stickiness.

  • good video

  • 2:24 FAIL @ opening it

    lol

  • epic fail on the time...at 2:24 im holding buttons in my hand???

  • 6:24**

    FUCK!

  • lol dude same here

  • what?

  • Haha very nice!

  • Can you remove the thumbsticks easily? I'm thinking of spraying them with this grippy paint...same for the A B X Y buttons...

  • if u feel the thumb sticks they are made of rubber...dont spray that

  • halo 3 is the most gay game lol

  • its cool...dont hate the game because your bad at it...just go play call of duty if halo makes you that mad.

  • acually im pro at it i have all the series of it it just to fucking overrated and gay lol

  • ....halo 3 isnt for everybody..and if u hate it why are you "pro" on it?

  • ha...

  • hahahaah your not pro... shut up

  • its rustoleum brand

    flat black enamel

(Mogler94) - you have to be gay for modding controllers if you mean the way like other than painting...your a dike.

  • helped alot thanks = )

  • i mod all my controllers on a metal bench it doesnt hurt shit. and y dnt you guys go and by a damn T-9 screw driver

  • omg a metal bench..i dont care i just was trying to be safe and not fuck with a 60 dollar controller. And btw, its pointless to go and buy a fuckin T-9 screw driver bit because i would have used it once....So dumbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb. Its not a T-9 screwdriver its a "bit"

  • Touching the PCB board (green thing) wont short out because there's no power going to it because there's no battery in it so it don't mater if u touch it iv modded my controllers and have touched it and all my controllers still work you can even touch it with metal so don't be retarded and think u know what your talking about when your don't know shit.

  • i think he did a good job get a life man!

  • what kind of paint do i need and finisher

  • you could use any special plastic paint dont know bout finisher maybe some type of enamel

  • rustoleum brand

    flat black enamel

  • do i need to tape anything off to do the battery pack?

  • just the metal part on the back

    (the 3 yellow orangish things)

  • VERY NICE man thanks for the help i will do alot ur way such as the tap around the inside of the holes GREAT IDEA!

  • you sir are an idiot, that is clearly an x-acto knife

  • actually it is a scalple lol i got it from the hospital where my dad works. Trust me its a scalpel i just said exacto knife but theres no difference so stop crying you fuckers

  • what clear coat would you reccomend???

  • dude i dont know which clear coat is the best.. i dont even know wtf clear coat is and i need it.. someone help meeeeeee

  • are you telling me that you cant put the X button in the A button or the B button in the Y button holes

  • how did u break the circle in the middle of the screw

  • for the LB and RB you can take the bumpers off the little button just fool around with it you can take it off and put back on. sand paper the holes after u painted it if u want to make sure the buttons fit. all around 5/5.

  • you arent supposed to the you cant see the buttons 0_o

  • how much is enamel finish spray???

  • u can paint every thing but the rubber on the antalog stick because it rubs off

  • Ok So I heard radioshack and all this, wouldn't it be cool to buy an extra controller, I have the extra battery pack, so buy a used one and try this or get one of those cheap madcatz ones ahahaha I'm not rich especially when it comes to experiments.

  • once again, no you dont

  • where do I get a screw driver to unscrew this

  • use a really small flat head one that you can get at any craft store

  • try autozone thats where i got mine

  • does it need sanding?

  • andddd again........no you dont

  • do i need to sand it?

  • no you dont

  • What paint do u use tho ?

  • doesnt show how to take it apart lol

  • that's because any half-intelligent person could do this. derrrrrrrrrr

  • i love how u said i suck at typin like its a sport u dick fuck i was just pointin it out ass packer

  • You can suck at lot of things that aren't sports.

  • lollllllll the point is i couldnt understand what your saying when you... twipe wike dis

  • hey u can paint the rb and lb bttens the thing that fids your xbox is just a butten there is no wiring in it i did it and nothing happend

  • you suck at typing. and i actually ended up doing that and it worked.

  • thanks man, that was a big help

  • you realize that there is paint called "bond to plastic", so you only need one coat.

  • yeah i ended up getting paint like that so i didnt need enamel or any of that shit i just did 2 coats of paint

  • ESD- electro "static" discharge

  • uhm..what are you talking about?

  • google it you can fry the board

  • yeah only if you charge up static tho, you can just ground your self to 0v touching ground .. so not that much to worry

most people dont tend to walk around whilst opening up something anyway. well i dont ^^

  • ESD is electro static discharge i learned that in my info tech class for example its cold outside go into ur house wer its warm touch any electronical device and u could possible get shocked

  • OMG, I thought I was the only one to use a flat head screw driver to pop out the pin. I guess not.

BTW, you can pop out the D-Pad so you don't have to tape a funny looking cylinder to the controller.

    Nice Video BTW

  • i would have done that, but i stripped the screws that hold the dpad on and i didnt feel like messing with it anymore

  • nice!!

  • i got the can of rust-oleum and the torx but then the 2 bottom screws were too deep in the controller!!! and my torx doesnt reach wtf!!!

  • uhmm attach it to one of those extention screw drivers that are used to put like uhmmm pegs on a bike or something like that. I didnt use that torx shit so idk. I just used a small screw driver and bent that shit out

  • u didnt even show us how, u already did it...and showed us nothing....

  • lol do you really need to know how to rip tape off the roll and put it on a controller? And as for taking apart the controller i explained how to do it and if you want to see it done for some reason go ahead and watch someone elses video.

  • i used 220grit to get rid of gloss so paint will stick ( dads a painter) then i went over with 600 grite to basically smooth out scratches i used 2 colors and made camo and use clear coat at the end so you will be able to clean it easier

  • Most controllers have sort of a glossy look is there also like a matt finish you can put on it somehow?

Like a different type of paint but with an enamel or something?

  • rustoleum protective enamel

  • i broke the things out with a knife.

  • Do you by any chance live in area code 34209, in an apartment complex? I do. Your room looks the same as mine, like exactly the same. I'm doing the same thing to my controllers, hit me up!

  • No i live nowhere near you. But yeah if you need help with your controller let me know.

  • I am having serious trouble with those fucking screws!

  • idk because i didnt take them off.

  • this is the best video i saw bout this

  • hay dose hair spray work?

  • uhmm was that a serious question?

  • So you first spray it with the rustoleum, 2 coats, let it dry, then go over it with a clear coat enamel right? and how many coats of enamel

  • the rustoleum paint is wear resistant so i didnt use enamel when i did it

  • lol the second battery looks like shit, the first one was better

  • the sync bar and the bumpers are FINE to paint, the button works fine with 3 coats of silver, and enamel.

  • hey sup first of all kickass job.

second how did u make the cylinder over the D-pad. thnx

  • lol shut up i was confused

  • you siad not to paint the bumpers and the sync button why not

and have you done it before

    plz reply

  • they fit with paint

  • thanks alot i did it and i think it came out good i did redish orange color it looks cool
