  • Excellent video. I have a similar problem. My 1998 Honda Accord whent it rains heavy after a couple of hours I find a lot off water acumulated on the floor behind the driver sit, sometimes in the trunk too.

Can you help me with this?

  • @dionnys Thanks! My guess is a bad trunk seal. It probably starts in the trunk and runs down to the floorboard making it seem like that's the main area because it's all pooling there from the trunk.

  • YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!

  • @miyuki421 LOL.. Thanks!

  • You think this is bad??? Try repairing a cowl for a 1971-1973 Ford Mustang. Those cars were good, but the cowls sucked balls. Cowls on these cars didn't leak due to poor seals. These leaked because the cowl panels weren't painted on the inside leaving the steel exposed to mother-nature. Rain water and trash caused the panels to rust and leak water into the interior floor boards. NOBODY makes these cowl panels anymore for 71-73 year mustangs. There is support for 1964-1970 mustangs though.

  • @Xclibur2001 Man, that would be a PITA!

  • thanks for posting this my 2003 grand prix does this leaving a puddle in the car on the passenger front and back side now i know wat could be the problem

  • @YungStar490 Thanks for watching, hope it works out for you!

  • Thanks man, it helps. It happens on my(and apparently most) mustang 06. It was really scary when it first happened.

  • @luigisf Yeah, you'd think that's something the mfg would make bulletproof.

  • My car has been doing the same thing. First it was on the drivers side and now its on the passenger side..but its happeneing when it doesn't rain also. Could this help?

  • @mamichula691004 It could help. Water gets trapped in there and slowly leaks out.

  • Did you or can the strip under the windshield be replaced?

  • @xGUNxBUNNYx No, I just caulked it. I'm pretty sure you can replace it.

  • My drivers side leaks, thats where it started at, i never found water on my passenger side until the other day. But now its on the passenger side. The water shows first on my drivers side. IF I run a bead of silicone on that window where you did will it stop it along with the passenger side? Im gonna do everything you did in this video but i need to know how to stop it on my drivers side.

  • @NukenMuffin This should be a fix for the drivers side as well. In fact I think the drivers side is more common.

  • My car has been doing the same thing after it rains and yesterday after a major T-Storm and there is so much water now my the passenger side. Would this really help fix the problem?

  • @ladyanime100 It just might! It fixed it on this one.

  • Nice Work! Very Helpful!

  • @eacjones Thanks!

  • Thx for the video, very helpful, i have the same problem in my Taurus, when i go into the car wash, water get's into my car and creates a puddle

  • @jdm89accord Hopefully this will help.

  • Thanks for the upload now i know what to do to my towncar! I have a question tho, my car also gets wet on the back passenger floor...,any suggestions how i can fix that? Thank u

  • @tonym2221 Not sure... The main thing is to find out where it's leaking from. Could actually be coming from the front and settling down and creating somewhat of a puddle in the rear (if the flooring sits lower in the back). Could even be a hole in the floorboard.

  • @Johnnysshop Im not sure, but when it rains alot it looks like a little water comes out even from the back air vent the one infront of the back seat, i can tell cuz i can see a little bit of water stains right next to the vent... n the crazy thing is when it rains alot n if i start driving my car it sounds like if theyres alot of water moving around, like if i had another gas tank but full of water in the back seat, i have no idea what that could be..... any ideas? Well thank u so much for ur ad

  • OMG I HAVE THIS PROBLEM TOO!!!

I really wish I saw this prior to what I have done to my car... =P

  • @ToXiCvEliXiR Maybe next time!

  • thanks for posting that. I am going to try and fix mine tomorrow.

  • @YaketyYac Cool, let me know how it turns out!

  • i have the sunroof problem lol

  • @simonsweeting That sucks. Sunroofs can be a pain

  • how do you fix the drivers side?

  • @Microjoey02 Same way.

  • man this helps because i got that same gap from on my windshiled and its soo annoying trying to remove the windshield wipers but this gives me a hole new view on how to do this. Thanks for uploading!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • wow, thanks a lot for the video I wasn't sure what the probem was. but, my car leaks from the driver side also does that mean there is another leak and my drunk leaks too. any ideas?

  • You're welcome! Thanks for watching. The drivers side has a long oval shaped grommet that is pretty common for leaks. It's in the same area, just on the drivers side. The trunk is more than likely the seals around your tail lights.

  • I had a cavalier around that year with the same leak problem on the driver side took me 2 days to figure out where it was coming from and it was a little rust hole in the corner right next to the drivers door pillar almost impossible to see great video

  • Sometimes GM can be a PITA

  • Hah .... same thing in ford focus 1st generation

  • Good to know. At least Ford fixed it. This issue is on a lot of Pontiacs from the mid 90's to 2003 or so. Not hard work but a PITA just for a little leak. Kinda hard to track down.
