One of the things I find this program so fascinating (beside of course the whole experience), is that they are professionals (historians and archaeologists) and serious people who love their job. That is quite rare in TV shows, it would be more "natural" for today for them to be some guys and girls from uptown, just like some reality shows (rubbish...). I'm glad that we have this kind of show and interesting people!

@ptJorel I wholeheartedly agree! If they were regular people, it'd just be another reality show. For example Frontier House, 1900 House, etc. I enjoyed those shows for what they were, reality shows. But because they're experts, they take it very serious and are extremely knowledgeable, which is what makes me enjoy this program so much! I'm a history buff so I absolutely LOVE IT.
