    But valve said they would make mapping easier and was going to solve some issues.

  • How could you! This is a really good mod that me and probably a thousand other veiwers really want to play! If you cancel it altogether, it's gonna make alot of mod players bummed out, dude!

  • I know that this is old news and that it's 2 GB of stuff, but have you considered passing on the torch, if you catch my drift, or maybe uploading a small part of it?

    I mean, who knows, this could still live on in some form, even if modding for Portal 2 isn't the most efficient.

  • Well that's a shame... as cool as it is that you'll still be adding to the original Blue Portals, I find it hard to play Portal 1 (and, by extension, Portal 1 mods) after the refinement that Portal 2 brought to the game mechanics and physics. Good luck with future projects, though.

  • @gamehacker655 If we kick start this again, it will mostly will be in the Portal 1 engine because I just love it much better to mod, although the visuals will be lack lacking. For once, I'm glad Colossal made all the textures VTF 7.2, so I would not need to convert them if we do so.

    Also, why make a equal in a new sourcemod if you can just update the original? There would not be a new code so if BP2 was ever to be done in the Portal 1 engine, it would be a sourcemod that leached onto BP.

  • @gamehacker655 Visuals, Blob tech, and Portal 2 is whats in now, there is not much of a demand for Portal 1 mods anymore like their was.

  • How did you get a mod to work with Sixense? I can't get my mods to work with the pack.

  • Do not fret myfriend! Portal 2 was made by the portal/L4D team! When Episode 3 pops out from Valv'es womb it'll surely have the good ol' mapping fun that came with HL2 and the orginal HL!

  • @DemonEyeOfFire Its on and off. But unlike BP2, its not really a group effort, its more me playing with code, and gameplay. I have not touched it since I made the new system for it, and its apparently broken, lol.

    It was a project we worked on and off a lot, but we are making plans for 2012, and BP2 was not going to budge due to all the issues we were having.

  • Can you put it in a zipped file so it is not 2 GB?

  • @ARealCoolUsername Zip only works on text-files and other files with repeating byte-sequences. Textures and sounds can't be compressed by zip. (same with rar, 7z, lzma, etc.)

  • @reepblue Can I ask...... what console do you work on and play? Im assuming you use a PC or mac right? Can I ask how you exactly code in Portal 2? I know very little C++ but Ive seen that most of the things work in C++ and was wondering as to how to do it. Any help would be great. I do understand why you stopped though but still seems like great levels though.

  • Were you using a motion controller for the electricity thing or did you guys figure out how to use the technique used for the Razor motion control DLC?

  • @Raulness Blue Portals 2 used the Sixense DLC bin file. If we shipped, it was going to be as easy as porting the bin file from the Sixense DLC to BP2.

    It is the Sixense, be glad Colossal prevented me from making BP2 Sixense only, because I was going too at one point. :P

  • Well that's a damn shame, really, these levels look beautiful,the idea of oil instead of Propulsion Gel is excellent, The Pneumatic Diversity Vents work great with that certain cube, and you even found a great and creative use for the Electric Gel, I understand why it will never get released but still, it would've been great to play through these levels or at least see some of these cubes and what not in some Portal 2 maps. Best of luck with future projects you all. :)

  • @reepblue I wish you could upload it, it looks like an awesome mod! Although I understand that you can not due to the circumstances, although I believe it could be done with alternative sites. Either that or you could leave it up all night. I loved Blue Portals, and your other works are great as well. But this feels like a great big waste to me. Maybe if you upload it, some one else will continue the project? Anyways, good luck on your future projects, and consider what I've said (Please?).

  • @BigBrother1993 No, The Sixense parts were test demos. The actual mod never required the Sixense. Also note that none of these levels are from the actual mod.
