The Animals stuck to more of a blues sound and never got as popular as the Stones. But I loved their music. I heard these songs when they first came out.
eric can't dance to save his life, even the band said he could of been better if he we're to sit in a rocking chain and sing. he has the voice, the looks, but not to moves, what a shame! i still love him though, so i can watch his moves and not laugh but want to be right next to him.
@etowmom Try-Yardbirds, Manford Man, Cream, Dave Clark Five, Peter and Gordon, Gary and the Pacemakers, Spencer Davis Group.........That was just on the Brit. side of the pond. American side: Simon and Garfunkel, Otis Redding, The Doors, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Booker T, & the MGs, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Areitha Franklin, The Byrds, Sam & Dave, Stevie Wonder etc.
@etowmom It was a rennisonce! There was nothing called "Pop" music then so most all was on a "top 40" or "100" mainstream. There was "Country" charts and "Race Music" (black blues and soul) and they could sometimes cross over into mainstream. That's how Dean Martin kicked the Beatles out of first place w/Watching the girls go by". They called Dean the Beatle buster. From Folk music, Rock, Blues, Soul, Motown, etc. The sky was the limit. As far as the east is from the west. Music bliss!
I never get tired of watching this video. Such energy. They're having such a great time on stage you can't help feeling it just by watching them perform. Not many of todays bands can make this claim. Thank you for posting.

The media is so out of control, also. They overexpose so many bands, everything gets so played out. I never would that to happen to the Animals.

The most charizmatic band this night.

I dont know about them being underrated..
they might not have had the sales that other bands had, but they were/are NEVER underrated. An incredibly talented band!!!
