I just dont think it will be possible without some mods on the game engine. Source was never meant to work on a crappy GPU like the Intel GMA 900. BUT the Asus Eee is a tough little PC :) why not just use the old Counterstrike based on Halflife? big difference? I know it will run on Eee...
It isn't possible to get 2 gigs of ram into it. Plus it has integrated graphics, which is a little worhless chip on the mother board. 64mg's of ram at best. Hardly the sort of thing to run it. If you are having a cooling problem, hook it up to Dumpy's heart, that'll cool anything off.

I'm sorry for you but with 900Mhz it's the same thing, exactelly!! It's not the processor which don't permit to play CSS but the graphic card, it's an Intel which are not powerful. Sorry :)
Ok, and is it possible to overclock it too 1.2 mhz, and IF it's true, will it run CS:S. I'm sure to get one now, because I saw it could also run HL2 and San Andreas. Thanks btw :)
I don't test but it's possible, but don't buy the eee to play games or you will be disappointed. It's a toy not a real computer. I know there are between 20 and 30 fps with World Of Warcraft at 620 Mhz, so you can play perfectly .
for run cs source you need:1gb ram,64mb video,windows95,98,2000,me,xp,vista,7
I play cs source on this configuration:2gb ram,256 mb video,windows xp and it runs very well!

why can't anyone play this game on the eee!!! it says in the wii its problematic because of 10 fps. i get like .5 fps..... even overclocked to 990mhz
