  • it's nice, doesn't look anything like a double cutaway though

  • Nice wood!! That sounds weird

  • i love it! except for the headstock and the bolt-on

  • I respect the time and effort you put into it, but that doesn't look like a Les Paul.

  • @TheRealPrizeRebel Go on google, and check les paul double cut. Its what les paul dc stand for.

  • Les pauls, Pearl jam, Halo...Thumbs up!

  • Double Cut away?

  • nice vid dude

  • this is a great art

  • sweet! I love using bare wood! Check out my vid of the one i just finished with some Brazi Rosewood

  • 80 hours of painstaking hours of work...lol nice guitar

  • BEAUTIFUL! I love every aspect of this guitar, the cuts the curves the WOOD the hardware just everything. I bet you could open a shop and make some good money doing this kind of work.

  • master piece

  • Well done...

  • Pure respect for such amazing job! Please, no offence, I just want to understand, why you made bolt on neck, if you could made marvelous neck through?

  • @incantatis cuz it was his first and same with me i think on the one im building my FIRST you wont to try the least difficalt way possible

  • Great Job ....cool looking guitar ....you should be proud of yourself !!!!

  • Good job! I'd like to build my second with some exotic woods, but I hate to pillage the rainforest for it. Check out my first guitar build.

  • nice 360º pics.....

awesome guitar, i really want to take some luthier classes to build my own guitar

  • whats the song??

  • it says in the information of the video.. its Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter

  • ooh thanks man and awesome guitar

  • very cool, but that isn't a les paul

  • dude how are you gonna reach those high frets??

  • awesome is the second one purple heart wood?

  • It has a bit of, with cocobolo, wenge, zebrawood and padouk.

  • exotic and not cheap

  • look forward to it

  • Cool shit man

  • wait till you see my second one, just finished it about 2 weeks ago. so ill be doing a slide show really soon. Looks 100 times better. its insane.

  • I'm dying to build my own. How'd you learn?

  • Hey, damn awesome work man! I´m gonna build my own Les Paul too soon and i´ve got a Question: how did you realized these string trough body holes, or, how do you keep the strings from sliding through the holes? Did you just drilled holes with different diameters?

  • Nice coffee table.

  • man!!! fake les paul or a real les paul,,,i still rather have a custom guitar i built from scratch!!!man dude well done!! i love the color of the stain of the wood,,,fuckin awsome!!!!!!!keep it up

  • its not a les paul at all its more like a prs design because a les paul has only one cutaway

  • ever heard of a double cut les paul? thats why it says DC, for double cut

  • well a double cut looks nothing like that it looks more like a prs

  • k it has similar things to a prs, but take a picture of all 3, a prs, double cut les Paul and mine and it looks alot more like an les Paul. first, the pickups, it has no stupid pick guards, bridge is a tone-o-matic like the Les Pauls and the fretboard is more on the body than the prs. The only reason why your saying its like a prs and not a Les Paul is probably because you've notice the peg head and the shaped lower horn. Also there's a reason why the video is named CUSTOM Les Paul dc.

  • thats really nice amazing work but for $1500 you didnt want to buy a legit les paul? or you just built it for personal satisfaction?

  • of course i could of, but it plays 100 times better than my les paul, and i built it myself with my own hands, so its not everyday that you have a one of a kind guitar. I also did modification to the original les paul design, things that i prefer.

  • what did you do?

  • that is awesome man, i love the stain you did on it it goes heaps well with the brass hardware. Im building an sg shape, ill post it when im done, but im fairly confident that it will take some time.

  • keep me posted, yes it takes time if you want to do it right, and if its ur first time. give yourself many tests. and you know the saying mesure twice cut once, it doesn't apply here. its mesure a millions time cut once. lol. the guitar at the end of part two is coming along, hopefully it will be done by the end of this summer. :)

  • what song is this?

  • Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter

  • wow thats a beautiful guitar man props

  • i would love to make my own guitar, but i have none of that fancy equipment u were using lol. maybe some day

  • That´s a true beaty, what´s her name? Looked very professional your work

  • 1500 dollors!u could have baught a brand new fender or gibson guitar.

  • yes i could of, but its not the same thing. i built this with my own hands, its a good feeling when it plays like 1000$ guitar.

  • So did you machine out the contour of the bottom horn or did you hand work it ?

  • I carved it by hand with a spokeshave. pretty good tool

  • If you were going to say you machined it I was just going to say " Kewl ". lol

But from one woodworker to another, you be the man. Good deal !! Get in there and carve that bugger out. Nice end product. Very, very nice.

    : D

  • I would rather want to have a guitar i built myself than an expensive fender or gibson.

  • @eythorion For $1500 you can easily buy a beautiful Gibson.

  • must feel very rewarding

  • Great work, man!

  • lol, sorry to disappoint you but all that gold is NOT going to age well at all

  • eventually ill restore it

  • nice guitar though, just sayin

  • Nice Job.

  • Wooooaa that is awesome! How much did that cost?

  • it cost a total of 1500 dollars, that was for the templates i had to make, parts and everything else.

  • actually it does, if your neck angle is to great, when you for example press down on the 12th fret, it may do the same as a bend, because your string is to high. So then all of your strings aren't intonated with the right note. and for a quick question, have you ever built a guitar?

  • Very nice job my friend. 5 stars!! Did you angle the neck pocket to work with the tune-o-matic, and if so, what method did you use? I also just got into building guitars. You can see my first build on my channel!

  • well it depends on the scale of your neck,a neck pocket angle of 1-1/2 to 3 degrees is necessary for proper intonation. Angling the bridge helps offer maximum intonation adjustment. So ya 1.5-3 degrees should do the trick. To help get a better description try buying a books with detailled info on bridge installation

  • I used a flat mount style hardtail bridge on mine, like Ibanez uses on their hardtails. The strings pass through the bridge and down through the body into ferrules in the back. So I didn't have to angle my pocket any, I used a 25.5 scale neck. I was just curious as to how you done yours, because I know you had to for the tune-o-matic. I've seen some people actually angle the neck heel instead of the pocket. I was wondering what was easiest, As I want to use tune-omatic on my next build :)

  • tune-o-matic are pretty nice, if there installed correctly, it always stay in tune and the intonation is dead on.

  • Yea, I have one on my Schecter

  • not sure what your talking about there, the neck angle doesnt have anthing to to with intonation, only string height.
