I think that the "perv" thing on the Internet is greatly exaggerated. It took me almost 13 years on the Internet before I ran into a pervy "favoriter" on Flickr (They deleted his account within 24 hours.)
Anonymous haters and inappropriate commenters on Youtube are much more hurtful to kids and teens on a daily basis.
Kids belong in family and peer settings online and off and not using the medium to share your family experience is missing out on a great opportunity.
