oh i see so it will be fast but i have time warner and if im downloading a torrent the fastest it has ever gone witch was like for a second but then whent back down was 1mbps
is there a way i can use a desktop computer using a laptops keyboard, mousepad and monitor cuz i dont like my laptop slow proccesing spead but i dont like the desktops feel
@zerorisers1 remote desktop would be the easiest solution, but then you can't really watch video or game. the hard but better way would be to connect the laptop display, keyboard and touchpad to the pc, but even some of the most hardcore nerds can't do that. you CAN use just the keyboard and touchpad of the laptop on the pc while using the pc's monitor using "synergy" or "input director" (both free software).
@UltimatePwnageNL ah well i know someone that can prob get that monitor and udo a few screws to do that im pretty sure u can do it easy with the monitor but the keyboard and mouse i had no idea about. so thank you do u need any hardware to use the software so there wont be lag?
@zerorisers1 no, the software requires only a lan. to reduce lag it would be best to connect both the pc and the laptop with a cable to the same lan hub or switch, wifi is high latency. i have occasionally gamed on a pc with the keyboard and mouse of a different pc and it worked great. both were connected to a 1gbps switch, but 100mbps should work just as well as it's all about latency not speed. tip: turn off any downloads to reduce lag. especially torrents.
@UltimatePwnageNL trust me i have to turn off everything and even a whole bunch of services sometimes i wave to cut off another laptops connection to the enternet but then my bro gets home and pissed cuz he cant play navyfield
@zerorisers1 get a cheap lan switch and use it privately, then connect it with 1 wire to the main router which has internet. its like 15-25 dollars (about the same in euros). its a connection between the laptop and the pc, not via internet but via internal network (lan)
@patten08 The video was made 3 years ago, and at the time the technology from DisplayLink with the ability to add multiple monitors via USB was still new.
Thats some random-ass screens you have there lol. I prefer the Dell 2007fp's for mutlimonitor use. They look nice all lined up together, minimal borders as well.
You are right. I have a dual monitor setup and it's not much strain at all on the video card or processor, I didn't notice a change in the performance anyway.
wait, you know how when packman goes through the hole at the sides of the screen, he appears at the other side... well... i just went and confused my self.... how would that work...
you can use 4 monitors with two graphics cards. ABove is wrong. sli is only used when i gaming so obviously you wouldnt use it then. YOu just disable sli in nvidia panel.
will a sli setup allow me to run 4 monitors? When enabling and disabling sli in the nvidia control panel, when i disable sli link up mode will the disabled card no longer be using extra power(watts) and save electric. SO when i disable sli when i dont need it will it no longer be drawing the extra electric and save electric bills. THe only rean i am considering sli is so i can run 3-4 monitors. COuld i run any cheap nvidia card with my 8800 gts 512 with no problems.

whent back to 700kbps

For a person who already knows about dual monitors, this video sucks. For someone who wants to know just a little about it, it's an ok video.

is having a multiple monitor needs a faster processor? or as long as your video card support dual monitor, it doesn't matter?

A brief monitor question, if anyone can answer it:
I currently have a 17" laptop running @ 1440x900
If I buy a 22" monitor @ 1680x1050 and try to dual screen with my laptop (extend my desktop) will windows get messed up as I drag them across?
What is your reccomendation for dual monitors at different resolutions?
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

ok to do this step by step you must:
1.Have vga-vgi connectors
2.Have a screen with a usb cord
3.Have an adapter for a vga screen that converts it into a usb 2.0 cord
4.Using one [type] of the following connect multiple screens to it and then go to display and configure it.
5.You may or may not need to re-boot you SHOULD know how to do that.
6.Go crazy
