What is the point of launching the kite from a helium blimp? Couldn't the kite be launched from the ground on a long lines? Doesn't seem to be any point unless the ground winds are very low and the wind at 200 ft is much better.
This option was investigated for launching kites in confined areas such as a stadium. In those cases there is no wind close to the ground and there is no room to winch a kite up like you would a sailplane.
