I don't think it was ever available as a recording . . . which is a shame, because I'm sure that contemporary DJs could do cool things with it.
Wow! thank you for posting this clip. I had this on video in '86 but a family member recorded over it! This montage was put together when Channel 4 actually knew how to cover the Tour before the coverage decended into farce. I have waited over twenty years to see this again so all I can say is, you've made an old man very happy! lol!
if you watch it at 1.45,one wanders if todays deep rims,concealed braks cables,etc,etc would make the bike/rider any faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have this on video, hard to believe it's 22 years ago.
I used to watch it as a 7 year old before going out on my bike imagining I was lemond taking on Hinault.
