  • This is great but we need more,,,

  • neil young songs have stood the test of time, i hope in the future he comes back to nz and does his own gig so his true fans can lap it up.btw who would bother doing a prodigy cover anyways

  • Loved Young. :)

  • i was there on the disabled stand with my disabled sis where were u cause it seemed like u were on a stand like the disable one remember at the end he like broke his guitar lolz and i could smell pot and dope everywhere at bdo

  • prodigy was insane. ill just say that

  • Sorry I respect teh hell out of this guy, but being pumped up as hell at 10pm theres no way ill be missing Prodigy in Sydney, Ken West needs to wake up to hismelf and realise that the Aussie/NZ big Day Out crowd is a lot different to the Glastonbury crowd in the UK, Neil Young just isnt the kind of act thats going to pull people at 10pm.....

  • i reckon wat it comes down to is that if you like neil young, then u must be a die hard fan, and its not really somthing u can get into if u arent familar with him. prodigy fuckin blew up during neil. i was so fucked ay was the best day ive had in ages.

  • yeah, prodigy are better than neil. It's called the decline of real music.

  • pretty good, I was there too!!!! but lets not kid ourselves, seems to me that live music for the younger generation these days is like going to a 7's rugby tournament or 20 20 cricket match, instant gratification with no real substance or soul.

Neil definitely had his work cut out for him, but never the less he pulled it off, good one mate.

  • You know mate, I was gonna jump down youre throat at first but I have to admit what you said makes sense, the criticism I had of Neil Young headlining this years Big Day Out had nothing to do with teh an himself, but teh timeslot which he was appearing, Big Day Out headliners in the past have done what there supposed to do, be an explosion for the energy and excitement generated by the other acts during the day, Neil Young would have PERFECT at say 4 or 5 in the arvo watching the sun go down

  • hey 0ScareCrow0 mate. well actually your not my mate, more of a love interest. The prodigy was good but neil young was also good, so admit it bfore i fuck you in the street.......... hard, i think. ps whats a neil young? wat r u wearing?

  • So that whole comment was about absoloute nothing..?

    Well done.

  • Fuck Neil Young! Go The Prodigy!!!

  • Agreed with you there man, they fucking rocked the house. Can't wait for I.M.D

  • Bugger them both. Fantomas was the way to go.

  • You seriously think the Prodigy will still be relevant in 40 years time? That's how long Neil Young has been recording. His set at Auckland's Big Day Out was utterly stunning.

The Prodigy are just a bunch of blokes with synths shouting a lot - and that comes from someone who likes electronic music as well.

  • They've been going for 18 years now, Why not?

They give out a good vibe, I didnt say Neil young was SHIT I just preffered to go see Th eProdigy because they give alot better performance and I've liked them my whole life.

And frankly i dont care what you think.. so yeah.

  • haha and neil young's just a guy with a guitar??

  • well i was at the gold coast big day out yesterday and i know for a fact that in 40 years time i will still remember the prodigy's show. it was the most intense atmosphere i could ever imagine. i'm sure neil young was great too but it would have been a different atmostphere. you can't compare neil young and prodigy really because they are so different.

  • Wow...Must have been sooooo cool, you lucky ppl who were there
