being a local(New Orleans area, Chalmette to be exact..) it is popular to say you don't like Mardi Gras, but I can honestly say I have NEVER been one of those people..One of the greatest holidays EVER!!! The music, the lingo, the feeling in the air, the floats, costume, themes, family friends "having fun"

@hardhead233 I couldn't agree more. As a homesick Chalmation, I'd love to be back "down in da Parish" for the Mardi Gras season! Even if will never be quite the same as it was when I was growing up (Mardi Gras day with the Krewe of Arabi, followed by the truck parade, followed by the Mardi Gras cars and homemade floats), I will always have a special place deep in my soul for it. Happy Mardi Gras!

Thanks SO MUCH for posting!! I just got back from NOLA (my hometown) visiting family for my grandma's 100th birthday. This song was played at the party and I remembered it from my childhood. As soon as I walked in the house, I youtubed it!
