The 2 Gardai in Donegal who pulled the young driver over. Now it is night time and visibility is low I don't understand why they are not wearing their High vis jackets as we always when getting out of the patrol car at night we put ours on. C'mon lads ye wana get a slap of a car?

i knew several guards from years ago and they were gents that picked up a paycheck and turned a blind eye to everything... crime was there before they were born and still here now they're go over 20-30 years.... in sum, policing is a waste of time ....crime, except for mala in se offences, is nothing but a political construction.

But most guards are like this, they're trained to be that way, so its no surprise when we see the superior "member of the club" attitude that alot of them have, although intellectually and academically most of them are scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

that was me in the saxo, i was 22 and apparently i was not speeding, cant remeber anything until the car stopped and i was on the roof inside, i was heading home for my lunch from work. The rescue guys were amazing and thank god for that truck driver. Only had minor head injuries and needed plastic surgery on my finger. So lucky. ALWAYS wear my seatbelt. So glad no one else got hurt. Still love driving! :) and im alive!!

Without doubt the worst programme ever in the history of RTE and thats saying something. The eerie background music as the gardai recall the events of issuing a speeding ticket cracks me up. 160 euro tv licence fee for this? yeah right.

Why the show is only on for twenty minutes is beyond me. Take a look at Road Wars for example, really addicitive show. They need to make this at least an hour in length

What is the orange torch thing for

That is used at night here to pull people over etc. Its not a great torch Id imagine as it doesn't direct light very well but it is very visible in the dark and I have seen them used a few times by night to direct traffic. One time was at a speed trap.

It's just a removable orange cone, there is a hole in the top of it soo it can also be used as a normal torch.

@DGirvan1 It used directing traffic/check points at night so as not to dazzle drivers.

the orange bit can be removed if a stronger light is needed.
