Damn, why did they cancel it, their only competition was MI3, and MI3 sucked ass. I love those 2D adventures. But back then, 3D games came up and everyone thought thats the future. But it wasn't (not for adventure games).

@NefarWoW It probably was create dby blizzard since its based of their game series. Maybe some sort of co-op thing with the animation magic but i doubt it was all created by animation magic. I'd have to imagine 90% of it was by blizzard since on most websites about this state that it was created by blizzard.

You could make this game in AGS, i'm serious, it would be quite easy. So mad this game was canceled, it had Monkey Island 3's interface. :(

This was not being made by the same studio that made those CDi games. Perhaps the animation, but the game itself was designed and programmed by Blizzard.

As much as I love WoW and all that Warcraft universe has expanded into, this would be THE warcraft game that has that original, black humor feeling that Blizzard had in their early games. Sure they have developed amazing game universes since, but there's a special feeling with games like these. This deserves a revival, in unpolished, original form!

They canceled this game becouse of its "low quality" (according to blizzard). They kept the story and gave out a novel with the story called lord of the clans.

The game Starcraft ghost that was supposed to be realeased in 2003 is definitely canceled for the same reason this game was that. Delays and delays which affected the quality. It has never offically been cancled, but I cant image they will release a game thats almost 6 years to late. Prehaps we will see another version of the game in the future.

This wasn't developed by Blizzard, but by the awful Russian guys behind the Phillips CD-i games like Link - The Faces Of Evil and Hotel Mario. *shivers* Just search them on Youtube. The reason Blizzard canceled it was because they couldn't communicate well with the russian devs and they made the game so sucky they had to hire "experts" to iron out the game's puzzles out etc... But by then it was so dated and broken (3D was taking over) they couldn't let it be finished.

This would've been an incredible game. Great voice acting, Clancy Brown as the main voice and Peter Cullen, oh hell yeah! Such a huge shame that Blizzard never released it. Propably they got a little bit scared of how amazing looking Curse of Monkey Island was in 1997.
