There's also Rosalina, Daisy, Toadette, and Baby Mario. Anyway it should have been a faster character in the game, and the developers chose Funky...

I don't understand that : Why is the Bowser-Bike on many Traks better than the Torpedo, and why is the Torpedo better in Peach Beach?!

Torpedo / Spear has a better speed but all its other stats are crappy, so it's only good on short tracks and/or tracks where there are not many tight bends (like Luigi Circuit, Retro Peach Beach, Retro Yoshi Falls, etcetera).
