@puppybuddy200 I would start soloing at level 42. You need Rank A war slam, Good armor, and dark knight. Its harder without a transformation ready but do your best and have fun. Tat is all, have fun kicking the spider's ass!

@ngocpower it really depends on the class, i could solo this guy on my second try at level 41 with my scythe evie. dodging is the most important factor though since even fionas block isnt fast enough for some attacks. its him being a karok, it was much faster to dodge the attacks instead of absorb them because dodging would force the spider to turn towards him and he had no choice but the head slam combo because it takes too much time for the other combos and he barely got away with it anyways

In fact, some moments of it's animation lacks "superarmor." So if you're hit during these times, you will be knocked out of Whirlwind (or maybe it's just lag on my part?)

Believe me, this is extremely frustrating. Especially after you've paid 2 SP bars.

Anyone know the secondary weapon for Karok? On nexon's site they say "As the player levels him up, he will be able to swap out the pillar for a huge hammer. He also uses his fists for a number of grabs, parry and blocks." But i'm not sure that i'm reading it right, "swap our the pillar for a huge hammer?"

can we agree that fiona has best survivability? In boat 5 and up, i know my dps is higher than most of the lann and scythe evies because i'm not dead, and because they can't get a good combo in before they have to dodge. An example would be Irukul.

@LockDOTspot It is no doubt that Fiona has the best survivability. However, DPS varies depending on the boss.

Let's look at, Irukul. The reason why Lann cannot damage him as heaviliy is because of his long lasting strikes. Lann specilizes in intercepting boss attacks, similar to Karok in this video. Only, Lann uses slipdash to do so, which only lasts for 0.3 seconds (Irukuls strike's last longer than 0.3 seconds).

Due to this handicap, Lann's primary source of damage, DC, is out of question.

@dude179 Anyways, let's look at different bosses.

Klaus, Blackhammer have very quick strikes. This makes Lann really effective, as they can slipdash + DC almost all the time (sometimes even glide). Due to his ability to strike more times during these bosses, he will do far more damage then anyone else.

As a side note, Karok is similar to Lann, but, he is also different. Karok cannot spam warstomp as much as Lann can spam DC. He also lacks Gliding Fury. Karok however does not need to worry

Guys, I figured this out. Everyone thinks that every character is "SOOOOO op" in there own way (Lann = Speed / DPS, Evy = Shields / Power, The Incredulous Bulk = Essentially, invincibility when used correctly) EXCEPT Fiona. I share this view, so, my conclusion is: None of the characters are overpowered; Fiona is UNDERPOWERED. So. stop whining. When everything is compared, majority of things are pretty fairly balanced. Play underpowered Fiona and complain? Play as Evy, then, as she's also strong.

@Jibes I believe it triggers every time Karok performs a perfect countersmash. That is like Fiona's Perfect guard, but instead of blocking, Karok is performing a smash in perfect timing with the enemy's attack. The countersmash gives you Super Armor, making you immune to knockdown or interruption, and regenerates some HP. The perfect countersmash is indicated by the blue-white flashes coming off his body. Any smash, including his roll, I think can trigger this ability.

@mikeiscoold Yes, because getting repeatedly smashed by a giant pillar covered in spikes is so "Overpowered" If it were realistic the spider would die instantaneously, or die very quickly. And Evie gets shields, 5 of'em, so they can pretty much take everything. Ahh Fiona's.. The balance of Power and Defense. Fiona is the least overpowered class I've seen, Lann is overpowered if you use Fury Infusion and use rapid repeating spin over and over... And over. If anything is overpowered it's Evie.

Fiona is epic with that Hammer, her Smash after 4 Normal Attacks is very powerful but it's also very slow, and she cannot Blink away to dodge attacks. What you basically what you said is you like Evie because they're OP. You're going against your own argument saying thats why you love Evie, but I guess you MUST be a Staff Evie because of you're comment on Karok being OP

However, Fiona could do the exact same thing. AND the exact same thing with so many other bosses Evie wouldn't even dream of. Fiona is a defensive, but has pretty strong attacks as well. Its called heavy stander counter and just plain counterattack. Lets see Evie solo Thor, k? Ive done it with my Fiona.

Karok/ Karlok is just a beast. Fiona can use her sheild quickly to stop attacks while for this character it is much more difficult. Fiona is actually the strongest character in the game when uses correctly (this is coming from a scythe evie) she usually wins pvps with blocking and counterattacks, even this big guy can't stop her.

Karok's self healing is countered by being hit with a combo and knocked down. So if he gets too many attacks in a row, it'll just be negated completely, like Fiona's Heavy Stander with a small shield.

Lol, what mob do you know of has the ability to do that? Most boss attacks are 1 or 2 consecutive hits, followed by a short pause and then another 1 or 2 hits.

I've never had troubled absorbing all damage.

The only thing u need to watch for is attacks that have a longer delay between each other, because u need to time an absorb twice for those kinds of attacks.

@DaLoveless apparently, but he did mention it has frames you have to exploit to do this. so, in the future, we'll be seeing videos of this guy solo bosses with constant barrage of relentless attacks. but since he's not limited to just 1 move to do this, it will be more fun to watch than lann's "slip dash -> Double Crescent" through boss attacks.

i noticed karok has a special attribute to his life bar. when he gets hit, he doesn't take full damage. part of the damage he takes leaves a light red trace in which he could hp regen that part.

i wonder if he has ability to reduce damage since he could just exchange blows with the boss without flinching. and he doesn't flinch when he's in attack animation. but will flinch when hit not in attack animation.

@Tyamporado Karok/Kalok has a skill called "Damage Absorption" that (at rank A) reduces the damage to only 50, while he regains 100HP. It's activated by dodgeing or attacking at the excact moment of getting hit. That would explain why he didn't flinch durring the animation. You can tell when he uses it because it will flash and make a sound somewhat similar to a critical hit but noticably different.

Also Karok can be stunned, flinches and gets knocked down for the same time as the others.

i think u misread the skill tip on that one. It actually says karok reduces the damage he would have taken by 50 percent and heals him for 100 percent of the damage that he does take.

If gotten hit for well over 400 before and absorbed it all.

He has a higher resistance to filching and knockdown, thanks to his over powered damage absorb skill.

Even when he doesn't absorb damage he has the highest natural resistance to flinching and knockdown in the game.
