The trim on the 777 is silent, the sound you can hear is the F/O adjusting his seat. Silent trim takes a while to get used to if you ve come off something like the 737 where the trim wheel spins round your knees and makes a hell of a noise!!

@clarkyjustin Yes it's legal only with ATC clearance both on takeoff and landing. Either they tell you no speed restrictions, or they specifically assign an airspeed for separation reasons.

What I know usually t/o from Jeddah (OEJN) was from 34L .

34L has been closed for a year now, the runway is being resurfaced. The first runway to go through that was 34R which is open now. 34C is next, look for that to be closed in 2010.

That is correct, they have started building a new international terminal, which is due to open 2013. 34L is now open for day time operations, next month I think it will be open for day and night operations. At that point, 34C will be closed for a year I think.
