I so Hope i Am Gertrude. I have hunches that the teacher was thinking of me as Gertrude. She told us that Gertrude had too look tall enough for Horton. , so i think since i was the only one who got measured next to all the boys . I guess she's thinking I am Gertrude and one of the boys is Horton. I was one of the 6 best girls how tried out and one of the 16 best boys and many people tried out.

The kid playing JoJo was freakishly good, and the guy playing Horton was my science teacher's brother.

Mine went GREAT! the only people that did bad where the Mayors. One never practiced his lines and the other's mom was dying (I feel so bad for him). Everyone was saying i was the only one who didn't make a mistake but that would be INCORECT! I forgot a line and a few dance moves.

Well, first of all, why are the birds wearing dresses. I thought they were birds. And why do the wickershams look like teenage kids who have gone bad. I understand that this play is pretty hard to do because of Suess's style. It is pretty hard to put Suess into real life. But at least make it creative as possible and not humanly as possible. And where is the background in this play? Are there none?

The costumes are supposed to look more human than animal. That's the way the show was designed. They did that to show that no matter who, or what, u are we are all the same and should be treated with respect. Seuss is deep, you can't take it for simply face value.

Well Said rufus152004 and not only that but the show actually looks HORRIBLE done in full animal costumes! I saw it done once. and besides wheres the creativity in full animal costumes, this way it gets to show the creative works of the Costume designer or who ever makes them! My theatre group is doing this musical

Tonight and i am a Wickersham. our costumes consist of brown fedoras with ears on them, brown pants(for boys) and brown leggings(for girls) brown sweaters(girls)/t-shirts(boys with furry tuffs on the shoulder, extended brown arms, and (for the boys) a long yellow tshirt underneath and girls have yellow tutus. now. if your to look. it doesnt LOOK like a monkey. but everyone knows thats what we are supposed to be. now i think ive made my point quite clear. so dont trash cause its good:)

wow, obviously anyone who typed in "seussical" has heard the broadway soundtrack. and being that the tags were: kids and seussical, obviously no one typed in "kids"? to see this, but they did get seussical. and i do agree, i like how it works with the soundtrack as a background =]

As a video, this doesn't really tell me anything. consider using these for a photoblog, and also, don't try to pass the broadway soundtrack off as your own. to anyone who's heard it, it's plagiarism, and to anyone who hasn't, it doesn't fairly depict your talent, whether that be good or bad.

interesting perspective. It seemed to me the pictures were a bit more interesting with some sound behind them. I wasn't TRYING to pass the broadway soundtrack off as my own. Anyone who thinks the kids in the pictures sing like the voices on the background music... Finally, I guess I wasn't really trying to tell you anything. It sorta cracks me up that so many people are watching the videos I've posted. Oh well, thanks for the comments.

I seriously doubt anyone would think the soundtrack was sung by this person. They probably weren't trying to make anything artsy, just catalogue their play memories.
