  • anyone know that tab for this? I know the chords are Dm F G, Am G Am G, F C G Dm but I just can't work out that picking pattern

  • @rrrobindra There are tabs for the picking pattern at smithsonguitar . com

  • @rrrobindra There was a really good video tutorial up, went through my history and found it and it is set to private :(

I'm not good at explaining these things, a lot of it is feel, but I'll try. I sort of arpeggiate the Am shaped chord, as I do that hit the B string twice together, once more, then play it open. Then the sort of Fmaj7 shape thing, move that down a string, and then open G shape with an open high E. Hopefully that is somewhat helpful.

  • @rrrobindra Quick Brotip on the picking: It's sort of tricky, but try emphasizing the bass notes as well as the ringy ones on top. It's a sort of back-and-forth motion as opposed to a usual, "Strum the chord, ring the top not, back to the bottom" sort of thing.

  • @KaiIkariify @superaltman @smithsonguitar thanks everyone I think of got the hang of it now, the bit that was hard to master is kind of like a banjo roll

  • @rrrobindra Good job man. Yeah, that's a perfect description. Sort of Banjo-roll. :D You should put a video up of you playing it! --Kai.

  • Great tone!

  • The guitar is shining, Marr is shining, so the melody is shining.

  • That level of playing is amazing. Since I started listening to Johnny my mind chaged a lot. He gave me another point of view of the guitar. Viva The Smiths!
