In my opinion - and remember all you HH lovers - he's not in the slightest bit funny. Comedians who perform and use crude jokes are funnier than him. It's not smut - it's called pushing the boundaries and being a comedian.

"pushing the boundaries" is the cheap and easy way all the generic comedians make morons laugh, usually because they are morons themselves and can't be successful without doing so. A superior comedian like Harry Hill doesn't need to resort to that, because he is genuinely talented.

mark lemar was miles better than simon amstell.

Amstell's funny at times but is too predictable and scripted to be funny. I think he tries too hard sometimes and just isn't naturally funny enough. And he talks to the guest too much.

Lemar was waaay better.

Are you joking? Amstell is the least funny, most annoying little runt on TV. Harry Hill is a genius and his comedy is years ahead of what most people can currently appreciate. In fact I'd say he's one of the best comedians around. Amstell is totally dated and predictable.

Yeah, Amstell (sp?, i dunno) is a bit of a knob isn't he. Harry isn't cliched or lowest common denominator really, is he, he's just daft, which the British have a great comedy history of.

Simon Amstell just sits there are slags of guests and reads questions and brings props out, which is just more of Mark Lamarr, who in turn robbed that idea from Vic and Bob.
