On the contrary, this is actually a severely slowed rendition of the Liszt's original, transcribed etude of La Campanella, a version that's considerably more difficult than the popular version.
This is the most difficult piece for piano ... of course, was written by Liszi .. the most difficult composer!!!....i love liszt!! He's a best pianist!! as well as Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart
lol , u dont know ? theres been many comical drawings about liszt beening a 8 handed octopus destroying a piano lol , showing that he have large powerful hands .
It's documented that Liszt had above average hand size. I never said that this piece wasn't difficult to play; I was simply pointing out that no man's hand can span 14 white keys.
Depends for who. People with years of training like Horowitz would probably top this song in about less then a day. I had a attempt to play this but I failed and that was the last time I ever sat infront of a piano. I got too frusterated. So your correct in most of the part. Its much harder than people think. Good luck!
This is almost exactly like the original, except that small (easy) part was added at the beginning, otherwise, it's by no means simplified. But it is played a but slower.
my mistake would be, as i heard the simplied beginning, i straight away made an assumption that the whole song is simplified. Until now, i haven't listened to the whole song.. but surely, this is slower than it should be..
thanks alot i have learned to play la campanella from this video, it's so amazing, it only took me a month to learn! what program do you use to make these videos??
it isn't easy but liszt was a god... remember that.

have to say there are a lot harder composers, one of the tops where Charles-Valentin Alkan, But also Henselt isn´t too easy.

Dudes, this is the original version Liszt's wrote, then he altered it about 30 years later.

I don't think the beginning part is part of the score, at least not the one I have! Is it the original? Probably not.

the slower notes at the start? indeed they are in the original. magnificent song really, so much emotion and so challenging!

lol , u dont know ? theres been many comical drawings about liszt beening a 8 handed octopus destroying a piano lol , showing that he have large powerful hands .

Lol and does that prove that List was capable of crossing 14 white keys with one hand??? Get your statements right...
puchalaka 2 years ago
I believe that Liszt had large hands, but I highly doubt that he - or anyone, for that matter - can "easily" span 14 white keys.
AvidHobbyist 2 years ago
he didn't have huge hands. this piece is just hard to play.

It's not simplified, It's just as hard. This is the 2nd version Liszt wrote. Himself. So nobody else.

@trigalg693: The beginning is right, there was just an added section that, according to PuresMusic, Liszt added himself.
