Amtrak equipment seems roomier than VIA's. Theirs and NJ Transit/Metro North's carriages seem wider inside. Maybe it's just me.

I took that train before, Toronto to NYC and the other way. It's definitely better than taking bus, but you have to just seat for 13 hours.
It takes so long time at the border, especially when there's foreigners who barely speak/read/write English.
