In my opinion, it was mostly political gamesmanship and the same thing could have happened to any of the recent Liberal governments but bipartisanship and uncivil behaviour have been steadily increasing so now parties would rather make sensationalist attacks than actually be productive. From my recollection of the last debates, the consistent phrase used by Mr Ignatieff was that "He [Mr. Harper]did not tell the truth", though I did not find that he substantiated it very well in that debate; it came across as a truism of sorts. I am tremendously speculative when I see hyperboles attached to Mr. Harper, especially since his political style really amounts to walking on eggshells to simply impose incremental change towards conservatism.

From my recollection of the last debates, the consistent phrase used by Mr Ignatieff was that "He [Mr. Harper]did not tell the truth", though I did not find that he substantiated it very well in that debate; it came across as a truism of sorts. I am tremendously speculative when I see hyperboles attached to Mr. Harper, especially since his political style really amounts to walking on eggshells to simply impose incremental change towards conservatism.

@Quintars Anyone can become a CEO, if you start at the bottom of a company and work your way up the ladder even if you have no schooling... Why so much hate because they have worked their entire lives to make it to that position.
P.S CEO position's are just as easily canned as any other position also its almost impossible to find a job after you were one... Everyone works my friend. Some CEO's close to retirement maybe a year or 2 left may get some leeway after 30-40 years of work.

@Quintars Corporates still pay taxes in transactions, HST (PST/GST), they still pay property tax etc.. what do you mean no taxes. The corporate tax is up to debate, in my opinion it should stay around 1%, keep it the lowest in the world to attract investments but also make some money on it.

Do you disagree that they believe in neo-liberalism religiously? Have you heard their argument for privitizing the atmosphere? I have yet to read the book "Not a Conspiracy Theory: How Business Propanganda Hijackes Democracy" but I am certain it corroborates my opinion of the insidious behavior of the neo-liberals.

No proof. What a bunch of artistic weirdo's who would rather vote for ass nuggets like Dalton Maguinty who basically keeps his hand in their pockets. I guess that makes sense.. They exist only to attempt to try to be different when in reality they are all the same.. Voting against reform. When families cant afford their hydro bills, fuel and are just above the poverty line, then Mcguinty (Loser) imposes the HST.. now they need credit to make ends meet. The problem is the sort of people who voted for the Conservatives do not care what the Conservatives do while they're in power. They are too stupid to be bothered educating themselves about who they are voting for or they simply don't care. Maybe they're just masochists and love a leader that treats them and their country like shit?
Ultimately, Harper could have been killing kittens and raping babies; it wouldn't have made any impact on how many people voted Conservative, judging by the polls.
