@3kliksphilip flash is an animation tool with program capabilities. no easy logic blocks involved. it's just more apreciated if you program using a proper tool. and still this is not negative, but just a hint. you made a good game.

@TheSmochiedarling It's different. Source SDK is designed to help people make things for the Source engine. MMF2 is far better if you want to make a game from scratch. But you can't really make it 3D.

@halo4life090 It's a good base to start on. You won't learn coding, but you'll learn the principles behind it, as well as an all-round, 'how to make games' sort of education. I think it's more useful than simply learning coding and not ever getting around to the other stuff.

About the program you were using to make the game, if you were enough good at drawing and programming, could you use it to make, for example, a first-person shooter? Or are the possibilities limited?

@Ecen12 It's a 2D game maker, doesn't support 3D. BUT if you look around, you will find some 3D examples. There are plugins for it, and various tricks and methods to make it look 3D (so a first person shooter would be possible), but I'm warning you- I love 3D, and I've never managed to make something convincing. Just map for a game if you want to make something 3D. This is great for 2D games, and that's not as limiting as it sounds ;)

@TheGAMER367 Incredibly easy, it's just time-consuming. You get to a stage where you can make pretty much anything you want, and you know instantly whether or not you can make it. You tend to encounter problems on the way if you aim high enough, but I find them the most rewarding and satisfying parts of game making. Nothing like solving a problem to get your hopes up!

@xCryonic Always position the crosshair's X position to the mouses X position, same with its Y. Make the bullet spawn looking towards the crosshair when you fire, and make the man walk around using the normal 8 direction movement

1) Bouncy ball object, with random alterable values.

3) Use an alterable value.

Alterable values are just numbers. If you set Alterable value A to 6, then take one away from it every time they get sht, then destroy them when it gets to 1, it will take 5 shots to kill them. If you set an alterable value to random(200) then it will pick a random number between 0-199. With the men, alterable value = 2, bounce. Leads to random movements.
