what's the point in studying to show oneself approved before God if one us studying a corrupted bible translation?

I been attacked too! At first God showed me a hidden book from the Bible, one that I never even heard of. I think I even started to read it. But then I became happy, and being happy is a sin! So not only I forgot the contents of the book, but I was attacked by a weaker form of a lust demon! I was spared of it's attacks, but being happy made me forget the hidden book! Old Testament is works salvation; WE are in the ministry of grace. We were never under the old law to begin with- being gentiles. The blood of the Christ has done all the work we'll ever NEED for our salvation

The only thing to concentrate on now is maintaining this Truth in your own mind. The devil will use any means to dupe you; even the bible itself! The NIV and NLT for instance = FULL of sly corruptions

my point is that good works and salvation are entirely divorced. Unassociated. By all means: DO good works - but DONT do them to please God, or 'gain salvation points' - because then you are no better off than a Pharisee. Really, you are not. what difference is there? Tell me?

To value good works - over the blood and grace of Christ the only begotten son of God - means you have not received anything new from Christ's salvation and might aswell not call yourself Christian anymore.

A Pharisee keeps tradition of men (Oral Torah) which is different and I do not subscribe to. Y'shua kept Written Torah and commanded His followers to do the same. He rebuked the Pharisees for keeping Oral Torah and trying to place others under it's authority (Matt 23) He also rebuked anyone who put traditions of men above the written words given on Sinai (Torah) Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Which the heart of this law/Torah is kindness, mercy, judgment.

@SuperScreamingEagle Ephesians 4 says dont give place to the devil...and b4 that it says put away lieing ect. so whenever we sin do something against the commandments of God we let the door open for satan and evil spirits. when that happens we should pray imediately thats something i need to work on but its hard and i dont ever know what to say to God but i do write stuff in my journal or facebook myspace blogs
