That is because Europeans could care less about his personal life and issues, whereas a large percentage of Americans are nosey. Such habits have been instilled in them from so long ago and are taught that pointing out others faults diminishes their own. It's sad but true, every American can relate to having their own parents judge others, while they themselves have their own set of dark issues. Americans have ALWAYS learned that it's easier to point the finger, judge and criticize OTHERS.
