  • Why is the interviewer speaking with a non-hearable accent?

  • Lol at Americans who don't know that two of the best characters are played by Brits (Stringer Bell also).

  • That dude far away and in between us starting to annoy me, looks like a young James Cameron.

  • Sheffield is the Rome of the north, Birmingham is the Verona. Leeds? Leeds is fuck all! LOLOLOLOLOL true fucking say....

  • The chemistry between West and Simon is great; Simon obviously chose wisely who he wanted to work with, which I think helps explain the fantastic emotional and intellectual intimacy the show manages to build with so many of its characters.

I especially like Simon's comments on inspirations in the last third of the clip. I could honestly listen to him talk forever, such a pleasant voice, humor and manner of speaking.

  • McNulty !!!

  • what the fuck did i do

  • why is mcnulty using an english accent?

  • @Scumbagization west is an irishman born and raised in england

  • Dominic West is an absolute baller. He did a fantastic job with a Baltimore accent and really made it look like the real thing. David Simon is an absolute genius. Hopefully he will keep creating realistic portraits of what this world really is.

  • From my perspective (an american) ... his american accent has to be taken in with all the american manuerisms, the slouch in his walk, neck tie always a bit off, shuffling feet. fuck the accent, easily one of the finest examples of an englishman portaying an american. Only sad that the best of an american doing an englishman is johnny fucking depp doing keith richards.

  • @cbizrap Exactly - he's such a good actor you could barely notice

  • Christ, the English are too suave.

  • WHY ISNT HE ON SPARTACUS!!!

  • dom should patent that smirk lol

  • You know these are some major badasses when james blunt playing in the background can't ruin the interview

  • Wish I had known when they were filming this, this is my local HMV :(

  • David Simon IS a fucking hero!!!

  • ROFL! 2:22 :D

  • oh god, such dumb questions

  • I knew he was trying for Australian accent

  • David simon is better than shawn ryan(The shield)and David e .kelley(The practice,boston legal).

  • Punk hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah! How the fuck can you think thats a bad accent then.

  • this is the guy who SHOULD be playing Nucky Thompson

  • @BigPostal You serious??? Instead of brilliant Buscemi??? Shiiiiiiit man!

  • Is this really in London, cos David Simon asks "What has Leeds got?" to Dom, who turns around to the shop and says "Leeds has got fuck all" with a cheeky grin. Personally, I wouldn't know the interior from Leeds HMV to Oxford Street HMV, so I can't tell where they are.

  • I really wonder if liked doing this character, he sort of reminding me how james galdofini hated doing the sopranos. Now this poor guy is Jimmy McNulty, even outside the USA.

  • @blackganistan LOL where did you hear that about Gandolfini? Interesting....

  • @Adam2012, Gandolfini did not like being called "Tony"

He got really upset once when he found out that 1st graders knew who 'Tony Soprano' was

He's a nice guy who rides a scooter and wears berets who speaks well..'Tony' was the complete opposite of him.

  • When to Eton with our current Prime Minister David Cameron and had a thing for his wife. Seriously, he said it in an interview!

  • JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAY!!!

  • @MrDsmalls

    "Ya happy now bitch?"

  • ROFL love this interview

  • Holy shit, he's English? That just makes his horrible English accent on The Wire even funnier.

  • @Einchy1 SPOT... ON...

  • @Einchy1 he's not meant to be English in the wire, you fucking moron.

  • @TroutMaskReplicaa You need to re-read my comment because your tiny brain obviously didn't understand it. Actually, you're so dumb you won't understand it, so let me explain it. I never said he was meant to be English, I was commenting on the fact that he has a horrible English accent in the show, but in real life he IS English. Do you get it now? Sheesh, it's mind blowing that someone can be so dumb that they can completely misunderstand my original comment, you fucking moron.

  • @Einchy1 he has a horrible american accent in the show, not english you fucking pleb

  • @TroutMaskReplicaa Don't you remember that episode in which he pretends to be English so he can get into the whore house? It would seem like you don't, you jackass. From the looks of it, 10 other people DO remember that episode.

  • @TroutMaskReplicaa Actually, here you go.

    /watch?v=XBL2Wq5YjSw

Now stop being such a moron.

  • @Einchy1 what a pathetic comment you sad motherfucking troll hahahahahahahahahaha

  • @dylankellyyyy Someone doesn't know what the word "troll" means.

  • Idris Elba

  • Shaky start to this, strong finish with excellent result on last question under time pressure - father son thing was quite moving, obviously in a creative sense.

West surely realises that it's his facial movements of an Irish extraction that is so winning in the role. Paddy copper.

One thing about fast paddling behind the quiet expression, those who have it don't really know any different but others do notice. And West has it as long as stays away from grog in or out of character.

  • JIMMY!!

  • i love domenic in rock star !! he is soo fit in it !
