*sigh* if its any engine id like to have is the 2jz im too lazy to crack open the rb26 earlier than the 2jz since the internals arent as strong. more convenience if you ask me. and please dont try to correct me as i have seen over and over again rb26dets needing rebuilds before the 2jz. skyline is way over rated, the supras modesty is projected through the lack of respect it gets less than the skyline. seriously id like to see an rb26dett run the '1' mile at 405 kmh in 23 seconds.

Thats a sequential(manuel) gear box that can take prolonged abuse and shifts are so nearly instantaneous.But really i think its for pussys. not like jamming those gears in a true standard. There is also dogbox gears u can get for ur standard transmission that usually make the first 4 or 5 gears act like this and its just slam em in with no clutch. take a lot of abuse since there's no synchros but the gears are straight cut and make to much noise for daily driving.

The sequential transmission is an automatic, it has planetary gears just like an auto, they only difference being that you have control over the gears and you don't have a valve body, and it's like the name dictates, it's a "sequential" gear box.

its actually a great conversion the rb26 and the 2jz are both equally good but the rb26 revs higher and is more respsonsive overall and has a lil less torque making actually very suitable for rwd conversions the 2jz is a filthy torque monster so the rwd supra at high power levels have a hard time getting traction ustilising the gtrs 4wd system to harness the torque is a great idea!

Exhaust does not effect an engines tell-tale sounds that much.A Subaru sounds like a Subaru regardless of which exhaust you choose.Same for a Mustang,Ferrari,etc etc,and any other car in the world.I'm not saying that engines can't sound similar.I'm saying these are two different engines with two different tones.The tone is closer to an RB26,because it is regardless of title and pictures.Sorry.

I want you to do me a favor.Look up a 2JZ.Listen to the audio carefully.Now for comparison, look up an RB26.Listen to that carefully as well.Regardless of tuning or any other variables it sounds closer to an RB.Yes I did see the video showing the 2JZ in the bay.But look up any other tuned Supra.They all have a distinct sound.This sounds exactly like any other Skyline.I'm not even saying it isn't possible that it is the real thing.Just thin about it.Decide for yourself.
