55 mph is a little too fast on a icy road i will drive 40-45mph or the speed who the truckers drive he passed. Always drive carefull and a bit slowly on icy or heavy rain conditions
The guy in the truck that lost it is probably lucky the trooper passed that dump truck....would have been bad news to hit it vs a cruiser. Glad everyone lived!
failure to maintain safe control of a motor vehicle is the only violation and FYI the light bar or sirens were not activated and the police officer was traveling 55mph on wet roads (who hasn't) wet roads cold conditions black Ice truck loses control of all steering is what appears happened oregon law is very strict but the vehicles mutually hit each other both were not in control though just stating what I see thats all dont brutalize me
@diddlum YOU ARE Right the truck was rear ended resulting in an out of control situation looks like he got screwed failure to maintain control is mute disregard my last statement
he got charged with that??!!!!!!!! what the fuck! it was an accident! there was no way that guy could have prevented that! this is America people aren't trained to drive like they are in other countries! how can you hold someone responsible for something they cant prevent?! thats not rite!
Wow, that was a bad hit. Thank heaven both people practically walked away from this, and the encouraging news that the police department didn't exact punitive punishment what was seemingly an innocent accident. Naturally, if the driver had been drunk or on drugs, you could have fried his ass for all I care.
I wonder why people are saying comments about this guy being drunk. "Failure to maintain a lane of travel." DOES NOT MEAN "Driving while intoxicated." I would not have cited this driver for that violation even for hitting the trooper due to icy conditions. Its an unfortunate accident that thankfully didn't result in death.
Something that needs to be learnt by any drivers is that when avoiding an object, don't try to do it by turning into its path. Turn away from its path - the cop should've tried to move around the left here.
I hope the drunk driver who crashed into the State Trooper either died slowly from injuries sustained in this wreck or he got removed from his torn-up vehicle and the other cops beat the fuck out of him, hauling his inebriated dumb-ass into jail.
The least the cops should have done for almost killing a fellow cop like that.
@GayWorldOrder the statement should be if he killed anyone , killing a cop is no different than killing a civilian in an accident. you must be a law enforcement agent to place the value of one human life over another, that is pure evil. also you don't know if the person was drunk or not.
Dang!! I just saw an insane wreck last week here in alabama if you watch my newest video and wait till the end you can see it..it freaking flipped the volkswagon bug in the wreck!!
Nice dashcam. I like how it has all the live vehicle statuses like brakes and lightbar, etc. I wonder what kind it is and how much. Very cool.

A similar accident happened to me 4 years ago. A Jaguar lost control and crossed the center line and hit me head on!.

Looks to me like the driver got rear-ended and he got pushed into the other lane.
