The problem I have with this guy isn't his below average IQ. Its the notion he presents that anarcho-capitalists do their deeds on the internet. WTF reality do you live in LOL, theirs a libertarian party and alot of us are involved in federal election campaigns, buying local movements, employing people ect. wake up man, nobody in my life could ever refute the free market society to a "better" alternative. You've all been indoctrinated from birth like religous people....FREEDOM!
I'm extremely confused. This has to be a joke, but he keeps a *perfectly* straight face. I never want to play poker with this guy. (Or am I giving him too much credit?)
@Guncriminal Interesting, not in my country. I prefer money made of spiders, i will harness the economic and destructive power of the spider dollars. They will be named webmarcs
Maybe you have to get a grasp on what capital is first. Hint 1: it is not those fancy papers with numbers the came out of the FED’s money printer, representing capital that’s not even possible for future generations to produce. Hint 2: web making spiders do have capital. As bees do, as ants do. Now what could I possibly mention?
@shadowgeyser Oh I just argued with someone who had those similar thoughts and was serious, sorry sarcasm doesn't translate the best over the internet.
Outrageous! Those spiders have a common interest in becoming capitalist. Via specialization and trade they could increase the median GDP of spiders worldwide. This would lead to growth in the fledgling spider goods market, thus providing jobs for unemployed spiders and promoting production of goods and services that spiders need. Like tiny gas masks to wear when humans spray for bugs! To disregard spiders' unalienable right to property is to do a disservice to spiderkind everywhere.
it's the stupid people who need socialism, because they are the ones who lack the knowledge to get educated, get a job, invest and raise themselves up over their lifetime. they need government to steal form other people who demonstrate superior character. in the story "the grasshopper and the ants", they are like the stupid, lazy grasshopper who has to rely on the smart, thrifty ants.
I think it's stupid to suggest spiders start off with capitalism, barter is a more natural starting point. They could use their spare time to make surplus webs, for drone bees to use as hammocks. In return, they could get honey to make their webs more sticky.
That said, if and when spiders *do* develop currency, I think that ants would be good bankers.
About 5 seconds in, I turned to my husband (who graciously left this up for me) with the most confused, befuddled, and shocked face I have ever had -- second only to the "O-face".
Actually spiders do spin pockets and purses out of silk and store bug money in them. They even exchange said bug money for sex with other spiders. Bugs are their commodity money. So this guy is just clueless about anarchnids and their biology.
This guy made me piss my pants for the first time since I was a boobsucker. Either he's the greatest comedy genius of all times or the sorriest dumbass I have ever heard speaking :)))
The idea of free market capitalism is another one of those insipid notions coming from the thousands and thousands of thoughts that make it on to YouTube. I mean, if everyone can just go get food and groceries for free from the market, then there'll be a tragedy of the commons and long, long lines. I guess I can understand the thought process that everyone needs to be fed, but we just can't have free markets; people would literally starve waiting. Jeez. People come up with some stupid ideas.
@Bluedybluedyblue tragedy of the commons, is a cynical anti-historical outlook on humanity that essentially states that native american's are the reason oil spills happen
lol just another stupid drone who doesn't see why it's much better if spiders can be free to spin their web without such restrictions as minimum web thickness. Can't you see they're just farming spiders?
Intervention within the market, is, to be sure, a problem for spiders. Studies show that the regulating of web thickness actually led to a loss in quality and thus a loss in bug-revenue. Of course, such regulations have led to barriers to entry for younger spiders, who are forced to weave weaker webs than the spider unions are allowed to weave. All in all, this drives up prices of bugs and spider food-stuffs. The latest regulation on the docket is for nationalizing trap-door spider land.
You clearly don't understand arachno-capitalism. In this system, you would use spiders AS the currency.
It works on many levels: There are lots of spiders, and getting spiders to mate isn't hard (some candlelight, Barry White's version of Itsy Bitsy Spider and it's a done deal), so everyone would be rich. Many spiders are poisonous, and a percentage of people are incredibly allergic, so it would also lend itself to population control. Win-Win
It would have been funnier if you went on for like ten minutes and sounded really informed and ariculate on spiders and why this system of economics is just unfeasible.

At first I thought the heading was just a mis-spelling. I loved it though. I myself find the anarcho-capitalist irritatingly non-thinking. They don't seem to take their arguments to logical conclusions and ignore human nature. I get so frustrated when trying to discuss this with them.
It is my understanding that anarcho-capitalists recognize that positions of extreme power are hijacked by the selfishness of human nature. So it's a system that works around that. The arguments are based on human nature, and they're always brought to their conclusions. I'm not sure what you're referring to.
Brother the world hates us. Since Bush has taken office the dollar has lost half its value against the Euro and hit a 27 year low against the pound. We have way too many real problems to fuck around with hypotheticals. You might just as well rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic as it goes down.
He wasn't referring to anything. His comment was an ad hominem attack and nothing more.
Also, there's the problem of generalization. It's easy to notice when you make a slight alteration to his comment:
"I myself find [black people] irritatingly non-thinking. They don't seem to take their arguments to logical conclusions and ignore human nature. I get so frustrated when trying to discuss this with them."
Obviously he's not capable of logical debate. That is why he gets frustrated.
Sorry KevinBernal, but you've got a bad case of ignorance:
Praxeology is the study of those aspects of human action that can be grasped a priori; in other words, it is concerned with the conceptual analysis and logical implications of preference, choice, means-end schemes, and so forth.
In the late nineteenth century, the praxeological approach to economics and social science was rediscovered by Carl Menger, founder of the Austrian School. The term praxeology was first applied to this approach by the later Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises (portrait at left). Along with his students (including Friedrich Hayek and Murray Rothbard), Mises employed praxeological principles to show that much existing economic and social theory was conceptually incoherent
"Anarcho-capitalist Murray Rothbard defined free-market capitalism as "peaceful voluntary exchange," in contrast to "state capitalism" which he defined as a collusive partnership between business and government that uses coercion to subvert the free market.
"Capitalism," as anarcho-capitalists employ the term, is not to be confused with state monopoly capitalism, crony capitalism, corporatism, or contemporary mixed economies, wherein natural market incentives and disincentives are skewed by state intervention."
Read some Rothbard (if you're wondering what the logical conclusions of anarcho-capitalism are). The "conclusions" are expressed in terms of ethics, economics, and political philosophy.
Start with "The Ethics of Liberty"
