really good job. just very careful with your use of the pedal! the first sequences are supposed to be without the peddle, you dont want it to sound too dampened!
Excellent technique, clean fingering, listen to some recordings to understand the inner voicings to clarify some of the melodic lines. Chopin creates a full picture with his works, you are playing with black and white and some gray, time to add color and make it sound easy. Sounds worked and intense, not smooth and relaxed. Did you ever how small and pointed his fingers were? Very difficult to successfully perform, you are on the way. Very uimpressive, Solid start. Excellent.
@ughy Thanks for the advice, I definitely agree I have to add some more feel to it, I think it's sounding a bit better now and I'll have to post a new video soon and perhaps you could give me some advise on that. I don't really have any formal lessons or anything at this point, I've just been teaching myself for the past 7 years or so on and off.
@ughy no formal lessons, wow! it is worth an investment, check out a private teacher at Peabody for the summer, probably about 100/hr? Get a professer doing private sumer lessons, just a few to understand where their thought process is coming from. Obviously, you are quite brilliant to accomplish that task. (I am a cousin to Vince Gorka, who sent me your link) keep in touch, modric@hotmail.com is one of my emails.
