Yes! Come on down and become a CRNA! You don’t have to bother with getting a proper medical education or enduring an ultra-demanding anesthesiology residency! And if you’re not particularly gifted academically? It’s no problem! Simply get into nursing school and do better than your fellow academically-mediocre nursing students. Spend a year twittling your thumbs in an ICU, apply to a CRNA program, and you too can be playing doctor for the low low time investment of 24 to 28 months!
@DrSuperSixSeven you sound jaded to me! You must be one of the those egotistical bullheaded doctors that demean nurses and signs MD on their receipt at Outback as a feeble attempt to compensate for your lack of character, personal relationships, or possibly even your "manhood". You probably grew up in a wealthy household where the biggest struggle in life was to pick out the color of your BMW daddy bought you when you were sixteen.
No. Both of my parents were high school teachers. Anyway, I don’t demean nurses. I like nurses, i.e. the true nurses, who recognize their role as nurses and don’t try to weasel their way into practicing medicine.
@DrSuperSixSeven I would take your sarcastic statement below as demeaning to the CRNA profession. I think it's extremely sad that you, a self-proclaimed anesthesiologist, troll Youtube on your free time looking for videos about CRNAs so you can post your derogatory remarks-it's all on your Youtube history. Instead of spending your time and energy trying to tear down CRNAs why don't you focus on improving your own skills? Your extensive experience at the age of 34 should have told you that. HA!
The CRNA profession deserves to be demeaned. A bunch of nurses insistently claiming they have the training of physicians. And when you just scrape the surface of the difference between what it takes to become a CRNA in comparison to what it takes to become an anesthesiologist, it makes their position even more laughable. If militant CRNAs don’t warrant ridicule, I don’t know what does.
@DrSuperSixSeven You sound like the militant buddy. Where are all the CRNAs and PAs trolling medical school Youtube videos posting negative comments about doctors. I have a surgeon as well as another CRNA in my family and I must say, you're pathetic!
@DrSuperSixSeven I noticed that you comment on alot of CRNA video's. I don't see any of the the videos you comment on claim that CRNA's are equal to anesthesiologists. I'm guessing you had bad experiences with CRNA's or are insecure about MD letters you worked hard for. You are entitled for your own opinion and that is great, however I am sure that many people would think you trolling on youtube make other anesthesiologist look bad. I am sure there are healthier and more productive ways to vent
hi, you guys all look really cool, I have read alot about crna's and I think it is something I really want to become, I am only 17 now, If not a crna then I will settle for bed side nursing, I been looking for videos to see more what it's like to be a crna because reading only gets you so far it doesn't really show me much any videos you can recomend to me? and how would you recomend someone becoming a crna? pre reqs - bsn - 1 year icu - msn = (crna program)?

Are there any Nursing Schools that you'd recommend? Also a list of recommended CRNA programs could help. Thanks.

This is a nice video. I am considering becoming a CRNA, and Maine is a beautiful place. Who knows...maybe I'll be there in a few years? LOL.
