  • I really enjoyed shopping at the Talat Sao...and the food court was quite high tech..cash is converted to card upon entry..I havent experienced this in my country

  • I had a fun time shopping at the Talaat Sao....especially in the old section where the Lao handicrafts are....I love the food area as well, where you buy food using some sort of an ATM card..so hi-tech

  • The morning market is currently undergoing further building. I was there for Laos new year in April & the shopping center is undergoing a multi-level expansion. There is a money exchange below some stairs & they offer the best rates apparently.

  • So beautiful. Kon Lao jai dee. Don't be afraid to learn our language.

  • I miss going to Taj Laj Sao

  • I had the pleasure of visiting this market a few years ago. One of the most visually stimulating experiences I've had as a traveler.

  • I wished I could speak Laos to know what all of the herbal things were for. I was quite shocked to see the baby cobras bottled in oil... Thanks for the comment

  • Sabaidee! That's hello in Lao. Anyway, Lao is not a hard language to learn. If you spend one year living in Vientiane, you will speak fluently like the locals. I'm an American myself. I love taking vacations to Laos every year!

  • Very refreshing. Wish I could stay and browse. I can almost smell the incense,

    and the fish market tho.

  • very colorful!!! thanks for sharing!!!
