  • Its pretty nifty for a laptop It certainly beats wires going all over the place

  • How long until the speakers themselves are wireless?

  • is it ok to remove the front side cover of the speaker? it looks cool without the front cover.

  • Is the wireless a whole different system? Or can I get a wired system and buy the wireless usb later?

  • I'm trying to decide between these (the wired version) and the logitech z623 THX. If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it very much. Great video btw.

  • @brianshickey go to Klipsch ProMedia 2.1! Hands down. My cousin bought Z623 and he returned it right way after hearing from Klipsch ProMedia 2.1.

  • Hi how come Klipsch Promedia is not selling in Malaysia anymore, I thought it came in the year 2000s

  • How can I get one? Me from Malaysia.

  • So the only difference is that it doesn't come with the 3.5mm plug that connects to your computer? Instead you get that wireless usb? I guess it's good for laptops.

  • @tigerm47 You can get it from klipsch.com directly, or KlipschStore on amazon (which is another direct outlet of ours). There are no other authorized sellers of this product, except for Best Buy. If you do find it from somewhere else, bear in mind there will not be a manufacture's warranty. Let me know if you need further help, or call us! 800-Klipsch

  • @tigerm47

NewGenOutlet has them for $90, but it's out of stock right now. I think they're new opened box kinds.

  • @tigerm47 I recently got them for $120, well $127 with tax at Best Buy. They were on sale and they sure were worth it!

  • Can you connect more speakers to this system?

  • Is the only difference between the wireless and non wireless just the wireless feature? Also with the wireless version is that feature optional or is it the only way to connect it to the computer?

  • @QualityIsNumber1 Yes, for the most part. Some minor cosmetic differences. You can only connect the wireless version wirelessly to the PC.

  • This really makes me miss the 5.1 promedia system. I don't understand why they ever discontinued that system.

  • can i use these with my samsung lcd tv because it has a usb port at the back... plz someone let me know. thanks

  • i have the pro media 2.1 wired, and they are not kidding when they say the subwoofer ads the extra punch. this little thing literally shakes my 4000sq foot house.

You need a top notch sound card and good bass song to really experience this sub!

  • Question for anyone to answer.

Is it possible to use the Promedia 2.1 and the Promedia 2.1 wireless together. Wireless use USB port and the regular use a headphone jack so it seems like it is possible. message me the answer or just re post. thanks.

  • @dukeman7075 It would depend on your computer. I believe most operating systems would only allow sound from one source at a time.

  • Just got the ProMedia 2.1 speakers for my 2009 Mac Book Pro, and have found that while connected to my laptop through the audio out port that the connection doesn't seem very good - if the Klipsch jack gets wiggled it will either give me static through the speakers or cut out all together like as if I unplugged them. I have headphones and a different pair of speakers that don't do this. What could it be? Thank you.

  • @75JEG

    1) Make sure it is plugged ALL THE WAY IN!!! It might have to click in place.

Becareful you dont damage the jack, but it should be flush with the plastic conn & laptop.

    2) Clean tip with alcohol.

    3) Contact Klipsch

  • @surfitlive

Went ahead and applied #2 - but did something extra by using an alcohol swab and Q-Tip. First, I used a Q-Tip, tore off approximately 95% of the cotton swab head, squeezed A LITTLE BIT (VERY LITTLE) of the alcohol onto the Q-Tip, then GENTLY in a counter clockwise motion (towards the screen) screwed the Q-Tip into the audio out port, came out with a little bit of black residue on the end - voila!! worked like a charm, and no more static! Thanks surfitlive

  • I'm starting to dj small parties at my college and i was wondering if these would be good for house parties

  • I recently purchased these speakers they are awesome. Very clear sound, it enhanced my Pc sound. I can now hear things in my music I've never heard before. If you want some good speakers get these you will not go wrong.

  • One of the best PC speaker, I would prefer this over any PC Bose system.

  • @MacMike1000 PC bose is a joke. in fact all Bose systems are a joke except the 901.

  • @GT5Enthusiast The Companion II isn't bad, but this still kicks their ass.

  • @MBP6705 they sound nice but lack bass. no point in having a sound system that has nice highs ok mids and no lows. unless you are looking for something portable, or do not have enough space. one thing i will give bose there very nice looking.

  • @GT5Enthusiast Really? I have a set, and the bass is decent for a 2.0 set. It's much better than the base on the JBL Duet II, which it's typically compared to.

I guess our ears are different. I like them. I'm sure there are better deals out there for $100, but I got these for free from my neighbor! :)

  • @MBP6705 compared to other 2.0 setups i am sure its probably better than most. but having a sub is always wanted over 2 little speakers trying to create lows, mids, and highs. if you play a song with lots of lows and highs at a pretty loud volume (maybe mid volume) you will here a lot of distortion. my ears are VERY sensitive to little blemishes in music and speakers.

  • LOL
