I agree to a certain point I love KISS! But when Eric joined the band he developed his own design and personality, right? So why isn't Eric Singer wearing the fox makeup? Tommy and Eric should have developed new persona's and carried on I would have had more respect... PETER and ACE developed those designs for there personalities, the younger fans don't know the difference and are being sold on false goods...

Well, Ace and Peter can't sue because they don't own the rights to their personas. They sold them to Gene and Paul some years back. So technically, the personas aren't theirs to sue over.

the reason they hired tommy in the band, because tommy was after breaking up with Black 'n Blue playing in a kiss cover band called Cold Gin, and he was playing ace's part..when the cover band split with tommy, he was hired in a kiss company as a road manager by gene simmons, who by the way produced the first two Black 'n Blue albums.. so they really took the easy way, tommy already knew all of ace's riffs..
kiss had a few lead guitarists in their history and nobody had no problem, yet tommy shows up, because ace actually wanted to quit and everybody has a problem..assholes
so kiss replaced a lead guitarist, every band does that when they quit..

Growing up I loved Ace's solo's... At times he couldn't even play them in the studio...he had a stand in because time is money. Also he wouldn't even show to record. After the recording was made he would show up, laughing and say how was I....As much as I love Ace something had to happen.

It's because KISS are a nostalgia act now. No new music, no new stage, the same songs they've been playing for years, no new costumes. Part of the reason why they've alienated a great deal of their real fanbase - the people that supported them for years.

Lets face it. KISS is a corporation. Gene and Paul are the CEO's. They have fired Ace and Peter for scabs and mainly to save money. And us KISS fans that have been there from the beginning have all been laid off. And our comments and bitching doesnt matter. Just like in the corporate world, the CEO's are too high up the ladder and they cant hear what is important anymore. We helped them to do what they want to do no matter what.
I will buy that. Gene and Paul are running the show, but at least there is still some kind of show to run. I have been a die hard fan since 76 and Gene was always my favorite member, still is. They should have quite after the reunion tour and gone out on top.
I have mixed feelings on them now, they are making it harder and harder to out to go out to see them. I was never a Peter or Ace fanatic, so.but they made the magic, no doubt.

as a life long Kiss fan ive come to appreciate all lineups of Kiss. i love Eric Singer and im cool with Thayer in Ace makeup. First of all the answer to this is very elementary Winkydink1961. Sabbath went into a different era with Dio. They went from a Classic hard rock band to an 80's metal band. Did two studio albums with different material. Different era with Roth and AC/DC also. Hagar didnt put on Roths pants and practiced doing his splits,or Roths screams and even his sword stuff. They were their own selves!!!!

To paulgrs: tommys a genuine good guy and talented guitarist who had to re-teach ace most of "his" riffs when he was brought back into kiss. and ultimately ace decided to leave the band again. at least tommy is an actual fan who appreciates the bands history. so why do you think hes a clown?

the reason they hired tommy in the band, because tommy was after breaking up with Black 'n Blue playing in a kiss cover band called Cold Gin, and he was playing ace's part..when the cover band split with tommy, he was hired in a kiss company as a road manager by gene simmons, who by the way produced the first two Black 'n Blue albums.. so they really took the easy way, tommy already knew all of ace's riffs..

kiss had a few lead guitarists in their history and nobody had no problem, yet tommy shows up, because ace actually wanted to quit and everybody has a problem..assholes
so kiss replaced a lead guitarist, every band does that when they quit..
tommy thayer is cool..he's the reason that kiss is still active today..

Tommy does a great job of Aces work! he's cleaner and not as sloppy! Ace ruined it for his self by drinking. Ace doesn't practice at all...just listen to his solo with the flash pod pickup...
Growing up I loved Ace's solo's... At times he couldn't even play them in the studio...he had a stand in because time is money. Also he wouldn't even show to record. After the recording was made he would show up, laughing and say how was I....As much as I love Ace something had to happen.

Paul Stanley has an interview on KISSONLINE, that is only a rumor. It would be great if they did do that, but Paul said there are no plans for such a CD.

It's because KISS are a nostalgia act now. No new music, no new stage, the same songs they've been playing for years, no new costumes. Part of the reason why they've alienated a great deal of their real fanbase - the people that supported them for years.

Lets face it. KISS is a corporation. Gene and Paul are the CEO's. They have fired Ace and Peter for scabs and mainly to save money. And us KISS fans that have been there from the beginning have all been laid off. And our comments and bitching doesnt matter. Just like in the corporate world, the CEO's are too high up the ladder and they cant hear what is important anymore. We helped them to do what they want to do no matter what.

I will buy that. Gene and Paul are running the show, but at least there is still some kind of show to run. I have been a die hard fan since 76 and Gene was always my favorite member, still is. They should have quite after the reunion tour and gone out on top.
I have mixed feelings on them now, they are making it harder and harder to out to go out to see them. I was never a Peter or Ace fanatic, so.but they made the magic, no doubt.

How sad.... Gene and Paul even make Tommy move like Ace and play all his solo licks. Making him play and sing Shock Me is just pathetic. I wonder what its like to be somebody else. He is obviously a good guitarist but does not have the prescence of Ace or the ability. Eric is a great drummer and I always maintain the best Kiss line up was Gene, Paul, Ace and Eric Singer.

as a life long Kiss fan ive come to appreciate all lineups of Kiss. i love Eric Singer and im cool with Thayer in Ace makeup. Ace and Peter were difficult to play with professionally, ive been in bands since 97 and do not wanna play with guys who are irresponsible or play drunk or high or plain cry babies. i dont blame paul and gene for not playing with them. my personal view is, bring back Bruce, take off the make up and play some kick ass rock with Ezrin. wow. what wishful thinking.

Why is it that bands Like Black Sabbath can put Dio in Ozzies place and no one has a problem. Bon Scott goes overboard and insert Brian Johnson and no one complains. Even Ringo Starr was NOT the original drummer for the Beatles.
KISS is about just having fun and having a good time. Who cares if Santa Clause dresses up in Pauls makeup and they go on tour?

First of all the answer to this is very elementary Winkydink1961. Sabbath went into a different era with Dio. They went from a Classic hard rock band to an 80's metal band. Did two studio albums with different material. Different era with Roth and AC/DC also. Hagar didnt put on Roths pants and practiced doing his splits,or Roths screams and even his sword stuff. They were their own selves!!!!
