So it is wireless between the d-link devices? And does this give support to my router because I have very bad Internet and it lags sometimes when i play.
@callofdutyAB These PowerLine devices are not wireless. They use your electrical lines like an ethernet or network cable where you can then attach a wired device to the other end or add a wireless access point to extend your wireless coverage. Hope this helps!
@iaingbrennan Yes, you would need a different device, or use PowerLine adapter with wireless built-in, like the DHP-w306av. All you would need is one normal PowerLine adapter connected to your router and the DHP-w306av connect to a wall outlet anywhere else in your house.
Please REPLY I really need help! On mine the internet connection indicator is not showing, but i can still go onto the internet with my laptop when it is plug into my modem with an ethernet cord. I have both of them into two outlets with one in the modem. And the other is pluged into my PS3. The only signals showing are the Power one and the Ethernet .
Is it possible to connect the other end of the second power line adapter to a router (Say an AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express) rather than connecting it to a PC or a Mac? Would the network will be the same network or each adapter should be isolated on a separate conf.?
@benghaith If I understand your question correctly, you are looking to use the second PowerLine adapter to connect your AirPort Extreme/Airport Express as an access point or AP. If so, YES. This is a great example of how to use PowerLine to extend your wireless network. You will not want to set the AirPort device as a second router though. You will have to change the wireless settings on the Airport device yourself. Good luck!
if anyone gets an error "powerline device not detected" when using the powerline av utility...try disabling whatever firewall you're using and then try opening again, this worked for me after much confusion. d-link needs to upgrade their poor engrish troubleshooting.
@LeanderVerheyden Yes. It will work as if you are plugged directly into your router. I have mine hooked up to an Xbox and it works great. Low ping and all...
@DLinkTV when i connect an adapter to my router the 3 lights are burning but when I connect the other adapter to my ps3 only the first light is green, the second is yellow and the right light doesn't burn.

@chaddylufc Yes. Works great for game consoles. It gives you that uninterrupted internet connection you can't always get from wifi. Check out the DHP-501AV for even higher transfer rates too!
Any idea why my Homeplug light isn't lighting up, even when I have two of them plugged in? If it helps diagnose the problem, the ethernet light flashes every so often also, so I'm guessing something isn't working very well there.
I do sound a little drab. I will pick it up next time. Glad you like the product. I have a couple setup at home. Be sure to check out the DHP-W306AV... it adds wifi to the Powerline.

@DLinkTV actually it will not wokr with a PS3 beacuase a ps3 requires a gigabit port which the device does not have.
Typh0s 4 months ago
@Typh0s PS3 does have a gigabit ethernet port, but it is also compatible with 10/100 ethernet ports, as well.

Is it possible to connect directly from modem, through the two adapters and out to a router?

@oceanx7x I haven't actually tried, but there is no reason why it wouldn't work.
