Your 401k is gone mate. At lest 2/3 of it at this point has evaporated just like the value of most peoples houses. Gold and Silver are your best bet now. If you can cash up your 401k for what ever you can get for it, do it now! That's what I have done. Reduce you debts and live very frugally. Things will go down hill very fast after Christmas, see my video Response.

Gold and Silver are also prone to the same issues as dollars and cents. I wouldn't trust in gold. The truth is there needs to be a system set in place that creates money at the source of goods production and services performed. It also needs to be destroyed at the point that a consumer good is purchased so as to have it be more stable over the long term. The issues with such a currency need to be resolved before such a system could be set in place.

This country is finished. The American people don't understand economics. You can't create false wealth (the printing press) and substitute it for actual production. You can't sell foreign TVs at Best Buy and call that wealth because you can buy them with worthless pieces of paper.
